“Don't stay there!”

I was going to stay three days at this place. I arrived at 2:30am. All hotel staff were great! They were friendly and cooperative. They were helpful and overall in my opinion the best part of my stay. The rooms however, not so much fun. When I checked in, my tv didnt work. There was 6*4 inch patch of mold on the wall in the bathroom, the shower head was missing, and the tub and sink would not drain after using. They were kind enough to move me to a different room. However, the second room the tub and sink didnt drain and took even longer then the first room. Also the toilet seat was broken, so when I sat down, I about fell over and cracked my head on the tub! I ended up leaving and going to Louisville and checking out. The morning I checked out, the neighbors in the room a cross from mine were fighting and running up and down the hall.... Four hours later, the police were there to settle their dispute.

Area recommendations
Go to the Holiday Inn a cross the interstate.... Take you 45 seconds longer to get there!

“Trip to florence ky”

Hotel looks to be under going renovation. First floor is for smokers, and the odor is unbearable, for a non smoker. It is common knowledge that smoke rises, why they don't make the top floor for smokers is beyond me. location was good for where we needed to go. hotel needs some tlc, but other wise was ok. I would shop a round and compare, before I would stay there again. However, our experience there was not that bad.

“Disappointed!”

Hotel was too far from our visiting town. Customer service was not good. Outside doors did not lock, although they appeared as though they would. Toilet was not stable when sittiing down.

“A good average”

For the price and type, it was good for me for a week. I had to switch to another room on arrival because the non-smk first one reaked of smoke & the a/c didn't work (100+temps), but they switched for me and the new room was far better. However, non-smoking floors DON'T mean people don't. The hall and walking by other rooms made this very obvious. I think I had to have walked behind people blatantly smoking in the halls & rooms though I didn't see it; It was that bad despite signs. Have a back-up plan if you can't get a room as you need it. People were FRIENDLY enough. They don't read the "special requests" you can put on your reservation so you have to make sure you ask (ie, confirm if you'll have the micro AND frig if you need them). LOCATION was great for my use..Literally right off the interstate. Nice surprise one evening of a fireworks show because the local team's stadium is across from the motel. SHOPPING nearby & within 30 mi. HALLS do not appear to have heat/cool; HOT & HUMID the whole time so unloading may be tough for some. BASIC continental bkfst but clean. NO ELEVATOR with 2nd level being a split level. CLEAN overall. SECURITY if it matters - rooms inside with basic hall layout, but exterior doors with "key access" don't actually work. Doors just open. FOOD - many typical places nearby. Mex rest in motel is closed with no prospects. Steakhouse next door should be called a smokehouse - that ruined a planned dinner - couldn't get past walking in because of it.

Area recommendations
Florence and all surrounding areas are well developed. Good shopping nearby with even better about 15 miles away. I was there for a conference and museum visit. Roads are very busy.
Getting around
Getting there is easy. There is no left turn, however, when leaving the motel though some try backing it up at times (rush hour). You can be patient, however, and turn right then turn around a bit later. Just be patient in traffic. If you miss a turn, there are plenty to turn around.
Shopping
There is a long shopping strip nearby. Currently, however, there is construction on those roads that is actually a bit dangerous so pay close attention and DO NOT speed. In fact, go slower as you won't notice the non-straight road switch and may hit the massive median curbs. Erlanger seems to have a better mall overall.
Family-friendly activities
Baseball games, Creation museum (20 minutes away), rafting/canoeing about an hour plus away.

“Nothing Like the Other Reviews”

I read through all of the other reviews & found a few that after my stay make no sense at all to me! The hotel staff was very accomodating, when we asked for extra towels we were given extra towels. The wireless internet was easily accessible. The hotel was not as run down as I expected from the other reviews. There was no unruly guests or horrible odor in the room or anything like that! We were pleasantly surprised & happy with our stay & when we return to the Florence/Cincinnati area we will be staying again!

“bad experience”

Staff was nice, room a/c did not work it took 3 hrs to convience them the a/c was on the blink very humid and hot. Had to ask for enough towels and wash cloths. They did finally move us across hall to another room with somewhat better a/c. First room had terrible odor. Carpet was sticky feeling not clean. Sorry, will not stay there again.
