“OUR NEW ROCKPORT MOTEL”

WE USUALLY STAY AT THE BEACH OR A VERY CHEAP MOTEL. BECAUSE I HAVE SUCH A LARGE FAMILY, I USUALLY NEED SEVERAL ROOMS. THE ECONOMY BEING THE WAY IT IS NOW, THAT WAS OUR REASONABLE WAY TO GO. THE PHRASE "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" WAS TRUE WHEN EVER WE STAYED AT A CHEAP MOTEL. BUT NOW, OUR NEW ROCKPORT MOTEL IS AWESOME. YOU GET "MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR".

“Very friendly!”

Overall, our stay here was great! We checked in early afternoon,for a 3 day Easter weekend, and the kids immediately went to the pool. (It's also heated during the colder months). The young family that runs the hotel was great. They let us know about area attractions, the beach, etc. Told us that if there was anything at all we needed, just to let them know. There were 8 of us total, including all of my kids and grandson. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was comfortable and clean, with plenty of sleeping room for everyone. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Rates were affordable, and I will definitely stay again when in Rockport.

Very impressed with how clean the rooms were. Felt like I was at home. Owner made us feel welcoime. Good people. Awesome fishing pier.

“Surfside in Corpus Christi”

this hotel or Inn was not best as Marriot and Holiday Inn, but its' location was near sea shore and it has kitchen area, so I could make own food with fish, which I took. Also walmrt and HEB were close to Surfside Inn. So if smebody is hasitating to visit Corpus Christi, I recomend Surfside Inn.

“Nice Hotel, but call ahead.”

The rooms have been remodeled and were very comfortable. The view is lovely with the bay across the street, a pier to walk out into the bay, and many types of sea birds including pelicans. However, if you make an online reservation, you should call and make sure the clerks who are working understand that you have a reservation. The personnel are not well trained and difficult to communicate with. Otherwise, you will have a frustrating welcome.

“Surfside is more than looks.”

When pulling up to Surfside Inn, I had my doubts. You could tell it had been repainted and remodeled, but it still look a little run down (although not as much as the other cheap hotels in the area). Through Expedia, they only give you the price of the room minus taxes and fees. Well, I was a little suprised the taxes and fees added $34 to the bill for a 3 night stay. Not too bad of a price, but we were on a budget and that was a little suprising. The room was very clean and neat and just the right size for my wife and I. We were going to spend most of our time outside anyways. The bathroom was just as nice as any big chain hotel. Our only real complaint was the water in the shower had a smell to it. The maid service was outstanding and the whole staff were polite. It has a private pier across the street for fishing and within 1 mile from the public beach and other fishing hotspots. All shopping, restraunts, HEB, and Walmart were within 2 or 3 miles. I would definately recommend this place if you are on a budget.

“Surfside "SWEET"”

The owner was very accommodating. He asked if I wanted to see the room first. This was an older motel but it had been obviously remodeled and refurnished. The beds were comfy. Everything was clean and when I asked for extra coffee, that was cheerfully furnished. This little jewel sits right on the "Beach" road with a beautiful view and minutes away from restaurants and shopping. The rate was fair, but it was off season so rates should be cheap. I'll periodically be going back so my plan is to stay at this place again. I'm curious to see how much difference there will in everything during "season".

“Surfside Inn Rockport, Texas”

The view was gorgeous. The only problem was the wooden planks were a bit uneven on the second floor walkway and the floor of the room creaked badly.

my wife & our stay was great. the hotel is in a perfect spot. right next to the water & has it's own pier for siteseeing or fishing. i love it.
