“Will use again”
Except for some peeling paint and wallpaper in the bathroom this facility appears to be well maintained and is a pleasant place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
“So Cute”
This hotel was very cute. It was in an old building, but the inside was done up so nice. Every room was different. Our bed was big and had a great mattress. The shower was the "rain" kind. I would stay at this hotel everytime I'm in the area. Great Boutique Hotel.
“Excellent change of pace.”
Great little hotel makes for a wonderful change of pace. Located at 5 Points and lots of local character. Tastefully decorated. A nice change.
“Recent stay at the Inn at Claussen's”
Recently had a three night stay at the Inn at Claussen's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Much nicer than staying in one of the regular chain hotels. Would definitely stay there again.
“Wish it wasn't booked already for my next stay in SC!”
Skeptical at first because of the outside appearance, but a wonderful surprise once we got inside. The staff was wonderful and so was the food and atmosphere. Would stay again!
“Columbia hideaway”
Had a wonderful time.
“"Room for Improvement"”
Just to be different, I thought we could stay somewhere unique in Columbia. The Historic Claussen Inn has potential but has not lived up to that. The room was sparsely decorated and the "breakfast" was way below standard. Also, when we checked in, there was a bridal shower being held in the outdoor area. It was so loud that we were unable to rest before our evening out. The management assured us it would end at 8pm but that didn't happen. We will not be staying here again.
“"A Gem in the big city"”
This was our second stay at the Inn at Claussen's and their catch phase is 'B&B on steroids' this is true. Sometimes you do find a gem when we go away from the bigger chain hotels. The beds were comfortable, all the rooms are different, great location, near to shops, cafes & restaurants. The breakfast is to die for, none of this self served stuff, you choose from a list and it's brought to your room. You also get a complimentary glass of wine, every night.
“This is a gem and would go back in a second if we are ever in that area again”
the staff is professional; the Inn is cozy and lovely. The room, bed and pillows were perfectly comfortable and I love my pillows so it gets an A++
“Great inn in five-points”
The lobby was nice with its soothing fountain. The room was large, nicely-furnished and clean. I liked having breakfast delivered to the room. Staff offered wine and hot chocolate in the evening, which was very nice after a long day. The location, in Five Points, was good for shopping and dining, all within a short walking distance. The only minor complaint was that the TV picture quality was a little fuzzy.
