my family and i enjoyed our visit, very nice hotel and experience,will be back and enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel. Overall a very nice experience.
“You get what you pay for, unfortunately this is one of the few hotels in Columbia”
First I noticed the urine stain on my comforter AFTER getting into the bed. Threw the cover off and then noticed that there were long strands of hair on the sheets and a couple of what appeared to be strands of pubic hair. Trying now to throw up, I saw that there were pieces of dirt further down in the bed. It was 2am in the morning and I was tired of traveling, so all I wanted at that point was a new set of linens. To my horror, there were strands of long black hair in that set as well. I slept horrible that night, to say the least. I wasn't expecting much of a luxury by staying there, especially after I saw the price. However, clean sheets and and blankets are a necessity for a hotel. I don't care if the room is green and yellow (well, I really do, but like I said....wasn't expecting much) just make sure it's clean! I will never stay at one of these hotels again.

Room was small, but very nice and up to date, but still don't understand why Expedia charged me $12.00 per night more than the room rate showed on the hotel bill.
“Great First Time Experience With Microtel”
I've never stayed at a Microtel before, but Columbia, MS, has few options. I had heard this location was new, so that seemed to be a confidence builder. This hotel is very, very clean; at least from my experience. Modern, and well kept. Again, having never stayed at Microtel before, I didn't know what to expect. Room was certainly clean. Definitely a "small" feel to the room - yet I expect that is why it's called "microtel" - the surprising thing was that though the room was small, it was impressively efficient. The layout was such that you had all you need right there in front of you. Wish Bathroom vanity was a bit larger; that was the main downside if there was one. Walls seemed thin in that you did hear some noise just a tad bit more than usual, but it was surely tolerable. Great lobby; very near WalMart and there were some fast food stops across the street. I'd have no problems staying here again - however - I'd not want to be here with my whole family; not enough room. A personal business trip - you'd be in great shape. Microwave in room; nice closet, and work desk had enough space for laptop. I look for clean rooms and properties that are well kept, no "worn" look or feel, and well maintained - this Microtel fit that bill in every way.
