Nice Hotel....for a sauna

Posted 27-Oct-2014
The staff was really nice. Location was great too. The room looked nice. From the website you see this amazing looking four star hotel with a bar downstairs and indoor water park for an AMAZING price! This has to be too good to be true. Well it was. The room did look nice, however, IT WAS SOOO HOT! It is the end of October and the room was 79 degrees!!!!!! We put on the air when we first got there and came back about 5 hours later and it was 77degrees! I didn't get any cooler than that all night. At 3:30am i couldn't sleep because it was so hot that i went downstairs to ask if there was anything i could do to help cool the room down and the front desk told me that the air conditioners in the rooms are old and needed to be replaced. They said they couldn't do anything to help me. I then went to take a COLD shower because of the heat and i realized that the knob to turn the water on was broken and just placed on their to look like it worked. So i had to take the knob off and twist the water on myself. Lets just say, their nice room looks nice, but really needs some repairs. Also, the bar wasn't open at 11pm on a Saturday night, but was open at 2pm earlier that day. If i'm going to drink i would prefer to do it at 11pm instead of during the afternoon.....thank you very much..... i was not satisfied with the price i paid for the quality of the room and experience that i received.

Not the same place

Posted 26-Oct-2014
We stayed at this hotel several years ago, it was very good, nice, clean. And we loved the water park We came back last weekend, it was very disappointed. Not so clean, feel old and not very good condition anymore. The site said they had room service, and they didn't have any. Neither the water park :( We were supposed to stay for three nights, after one night we decided to change hotels.

Close to Cincinnati fairgrounds.

Facility great but heater only worked for 2 hours after repair staff serviced it. They were not available after Midnight, so the night was very cold and uncomfortable.

Don't believe the bad reviews.

Posted 07-Oct-2014
My husband and I stayed here just overnight on our way driving from Cleveland to Nashville for the Browns/Titans game. I was terrified because I hadn't really read the reviews before booking-I kind of just chose based on price and location and the pictures on the listing. After I read the reviews, I was prepared to leave and stay somewhere else if need be. Turns out I was afraid for no reason!! I'm not sure what hotel the one-star raters were staying at, but this hotel was GREAT! The lobby area and room were EXACTLY as pictured in the listing. The room was clean, modern and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was clean and modern. The only issue we had was that the bathtub faucet was not "finished" meaning the pipe to the faucet itself was exposed about 2 inches out of the wall-as if there was a facing or cover missing. It did not affect how it operated, however. The staff was very attentive-even calling the room about 15 minutes after we checked in to make sure everything was OK. I was prepared for the awful "musty" smell some raters mentioned and it was not there. I even expected a slight chlorine smell as the hotel is attached to a water park-but there was none. My husband and I laughed when we looked at the outdoor pool as some raters had complained that there were "4 foot tall weeds" surrounding the pool. FYI-IT'S CALLED SAW GRASS PEOPLE!! It's landscaping. It's supposed to be there! We would definitely stay here again! Great hotel, staff and location!

Not great not bad

Posted 04-Oct-2014
Pros: Cleanliness of room
Cons: Noise level outside of room, i.e. Traffic noise
Location: Not much, standard restaurants and a couple of local bars. Cincinnati 20 minutes away
Huge hotel with no tenants. Almost felt like 'The Shining' walking through the vacant areas of the hotel. No matter, needed a clean room and got it. My only gripe was we were on the 8th floor which faced the highway and heard traffic all night long, making it impossible to get a good sleep.

Not so great

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: It was inexpensive
Cons: Please train your staff to be courteous and helpful. They were not rude, but definitely did not go out of their way. And fix things up a bit.
Check in clerk charged my credit card before asking me if it was okay (it was not) and failed to tell me about the breakfast in the morning, AC was broken, hallways and common areas were not well maintained (although rooms were clean and nice), thin covers on bed and no extra blankets, the breakfast was terrible. No coffee! I grabbed a box of cereal and left. If you are just looking for a place to rest your head, its fine. But do not expect much.

Need more front desk employees

Posted 22-Sep-2014
When I checked in there was only 1 person working the front desk and it took 20 minutes till I was checked in. The room was nice and clean. The Wi-Fi was a joke. Every time I tried to go to a site or use an app it would log off.

The Shining

No lights in parking lot. Upon entry smelled damp and mold. Given a room on 12th floor in the back of the tower, could not get any further from anything. Did not look like any other people were there. Never stay there. Still using the Radisson pics on web site.
