“Prime quality for your bucks - in Hyde Park”

If you want to stay in Hyde Park -- home to the University of Chicago, but 10 miles out of down town -- that's a perfect hotel. Very good quality for your bucks. Large, airy rooms, free internet everywhere, coffee makers, kind staff, lake views, lake walks, close to Metra Electric sation. Only annoying thing: no safe deposit boxes, either in your room or at the front desk. You will have to carry your valuables. But for this: perfect!!!

“Staff Friendly and Helpful”

Convenient location, reasonable rates, close access to public transportation, hotel staff helped us get around the city. Free parking on-site greatly appreciated.

“It was great for the price”

The only problem was the use of the shuttle. It only had 2 trips downtown, 10am-2pm and 2pm-6pm. When we went to board the shuttle at 10am it was already full! I took a cab to the Watertower for about $20 each way. The rooms were clean and we were treated nicely.

“Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced.”

Hotel was clean, comfortable, with a good view of Lake Michigan. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Only drawback: It is not in the best section of town. But it is conveniently located near the University of Chicago.

“Good Budget Spot”

We had a room without a "lake view" as most of them are, but it was clean, close to the train, and an easy budget area to stay. Not fancy, but a good bed and a quiet stay.

“About what you'd expect for the price and location”

Hotel wasn't in the best condition. We almost didn't find a parking space for our car because the hotel was full. However, it was close to downtown Chicago (it took about 10 minutes to walk to the train, and it was a ~15 min train ride into Millenium Park) and it had free parking.

“Fine hotel for the price in Chicago”

Hotel and service was fine. We did have to drive everywhere but it was pretty convenient to Water Tower Place and Museum of Science and Industry. We had 5 in our group (one infant) and the room was pretty small. Not much moving room.

“Great view and location, could have been a little cleaner.”

We enjoyed our time at this hotel. It was right on Lake Shore Drive and the view was awesome. The resturant had great food and a very good breakfast buffet. There was a great pool which we also enjoyed. The hotel was very cetrally located and provided on site parking. All and all we had a great time. Thanks!
