“Lincoln Park”
Good !!!
“I'd stay there again....”
It's not The Waldorf but it is convenient, comfortable and a good value.
“POOR HOTEL FOR THE RATE”
The hotel tried to impress. At the arrival the staff was extremely courteous and nice, making you feel at home, but when I got to the room, the conditions of it was of a lower class hotel, not worth paying more than half of what was charged. For this amount the hotel is deinitly not worth it. I will never stay there again for this rate. Cost/benefit was very poor.
“92nd year, nicely restored as orginal”
and self park @ reasonable rate was a big plus. Park and walk to anything you could need. I felt safe and walked amoung the natives, Iam a BURB BOY of KC and felt this an interesting life experience.
“Modern amenities with antique charm”
This hotel in the heart of historic downtown Chicago is obviously an antique itself. The narrow hallways, tiny elevator and radiator in the bathroom give the whole place a feeling of history, but obviously they've redone the interiors of the rooms because they look completely modern. The wide screen tv was nice although it only had a few channels, including HBO. The noise outside went on all night but that seems to be typical of Chicago, especially fire trucks. The parking lot is small but they do have an overflow lot, and to get any parking at all in that area is a bonus. Overall it was a delightful stay - it was my first trip to Chicago and I loved it, this hotel fits right into the feel of the city.
“Great In-Town Location”
This was a great near north location close to Lincoln Park and the lakefront. Great for walkers and bikers. Self parking was onsite (a rarity) and very inexpensive compared to other hotels. Overflow parking in a public parking garage ~1 block away was the same price when arranged through through the Inn. CTA bus service was ~100 feet away which led everywhere and connected to the "L" ~5 blocks away. The complementary breakfast was satisfactory. Plenty of restaurants and food stores of varying price range were very close by. The Pot Belly Pig and Panera were across the street! Great walking through the neighborhoods, Lincoln Park Zoo and boat harbors. The building has been an Inn for about 10 years, previously a Comfort Inn for ~10 years and a hotel for women prior. The hotel staff was very accomodating and polite. Check it out
“Didn't visit Chicago for the room”
People were friendly, the room is old, not real clean and tiny. The upside is that I didn't go there to stay in the room, so I only slept there and bathed. Can't beat the location and through Expedia I was able to get a reasonable price.
“Chicago LIncoln Park”
Hotel room size was great and convenient to everything. Had a great time.
“Do Not Stay Here!!”
This old hotel has absolutely NOTHING to offer except for great location. It has a tiny parking lot with an alternate parking lot a block away. The rooms are old with marked woodwork, old carpeting and drapes, dirty windows and window air conditioners that DO NOT keep the room cool. It was at least 80 degrees in my room all evening. Very difficult to sleep. There were dead gnats on the bathroom floor and window sill and there were no shades on the bare bulbs. They advertise a full breakfast and it is cold rolls, cereal and coffee. To find something good to say, the coffee was good. At their rates, this hotel is a rip off. There are many many nicer places to stay in Chicago for the kind of money you will pay to stay here. In case you haven't already guessed, I won't be going back there!
“Rooms are tiny and outdated, 1 star hotel at best!”
Great location but the room was terribly small and outdated. The hallway smelled weird, tv was a tube set, and window a/c unit barely worked. I would not stay here or recommend it to anyone
