“Great Hotel!”

Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice, hot breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located with many good dining & pub choices very close. The only negative was that it is right next to a very lively fire department. (Free ear plugs provided in the lobby.)

“Nice hotel, good location”

A couple of (slightly seedy) blocks from North Michigan and a couple from the river, this hotel is ideally suited for exploring downtown Chicago on foot. We stayed five nights and everything worked well, though the breakfast (included in the price) could get a bit crowded. The rooms were clean and well-maintained and there were plenty of places to eat within a short distance.

“Delightfully Surprised”

This was one of our least expensive choices in the Mag Mile area. Although, off a few blocks from Michigan Ave. it was equal distance to transportation, restaurants, shopping and points of interest.... a short walk to everything. Staff was very helpful with recommending walking and transportation routes. Rooms were well appointed and the included breakfast was above expectation.

“Good hotel for the price”

The hotel sits back from the road a bit so we had to circle the block once in order to find it. Parking was fairly expensive, but that may be indemic to Chicago itself. Very accessible to the Navy Pier, the free trolley was most welcome. Very nice room and the bed was comfortable considering the price. The shower had good water pressure. The breakfast provided was a definite step up from most continental breakfasts I've had at other hotels. The hotel is across the street from a fire dept. station so hope there isn't a fire. We were high enough so that the noise wasn't too onerous. Overall one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at.

“Good location/reasonable price”

I have stayed at many Gold Coast Hotels, all closer to Michigan Avenue than the Hampton Inn, but not as customer friendly, service oriented, clean, and reasonably priced.
