Nice enough Hotel close to airport

Posted 19-Mar-2014
Cons: Softer mattresses on the beds...
Location: The White Temple is a must a very bizarre and unique temple...
This hotel was nice enough great pool, was winter coming into spring over there at the time but still not too cold, the weren't many guests either just the odd coach over nighters leaving early in the morning, my only fault with the place was the bed was rather hard, nice and big but hard all the same. I'd give the place 3 out of 5 easy

Lovely Room Near the Airport

Posted 20-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed here with my wife and 1 year old son for 2 nights, and we enjoyed the resort's grounds and the attentive service of everyone on staff. I spent one morning in the lobby with my son, who was just learning to walk, and he wandered throughout the spacious open air lobby making friends with the staff. Beautiful furniture in the common spaces, the breakfast was a fairly nice spread, and the room we were in was large. For the price we paid, it was well worth a visit and we'd come back in a heartbeat. It's a short, 5 minute drive from the river, which is where most of the temples and tourist sites are located.

Looks much better on the website

Posted 24-Jan-2014
Pros: It was close to the airport and it had an electric kettle.
Cons: Everything I wrote about in my experience
Location: It really wasn't close to anything but the airport.
We arrived being very excited as all of our experiences in the accommodations inThailand had been wonderful up to this point. The staff was polite but not very welcoming. After arriving in our rooms, we realized that the hot water didn't work, nor did the heater (it was very cold), and there was a large moldy spot on the bathroom ceiling. The staff showed up and handled the water heater so that it was warm, not hot, but they did not come back to take care of the heater. The biggest disappointment was the very hard bed. This was the worst bed we slept in all of Thailand and it was the most expensive hotel. Breakfast was okay, there was choice but nothing really tasted very good. Overall, not really terrible but it was disappointing, especially for the cost.

Tranquil Escape With Close to City Center

Posted 06-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
This small Thai-styled resort is only 5 min drive from airport and 10 min to town. Resort is built with around 10 houses with 4 rooms in each floor, 2 floors only without lift. No worries, the staff will help you send the luggage to your room. We stayed at deluxe room, the room is spacious and comfortable. Staff are always friendly and helpful to guests from any countries. The resort doesn't have many modern facilities however, there's no LCD/LED TV in room but old-fashioned ones. And, gym is outdoor with few work-out machines. But the environment in the surroundings is relaxing and the room rate is certainly very attractive during promotion period. You may ask the front desk to arrange a room away from the main road to avoid disturbances of noises from the cars if you don't mind take few more minutes walk from lobby to your room. The breakfast time is 06:00-09:00. Yes! It closes at 09:00, you will have to get up earlier to catch up with that :) ....In Chiang Rai, public transport is rare, it's better to rent a car if you can drive or you can ask the front desk to book a taxi for you, we seldomly find taxi on the road in fact. There're two local restaurants sitting right opposite to the resort, watch out when you cross the road at night time, it's rather dark after sunset. There're many different styled cafes in Chiang Rai, don't forget to try !
