“Met Expectations”
Room was clean and comfortable, best Motel breakfast we had on our trip
“Heading Home”
Over all the Comfort Inn Monticello is a great hotel, especially for a quick day or two stop. This is the second time my family has stayed there, once for a family member's wedding and this time for a stop off traveling back to North Carolina from Ohio. The staff is very friendly and great with children. I called the night before to see if they had a pack-n-play for my infant, and they had it set up in the room before we arrived. The breakfast is very nice and offers a good variety. The location is very convenient to get on and off the highway and food and gas are close by. Getting to downtown takes about 10 minutes and is a little tricky, but they have directions at the front desk, so make sure to ask. My only complaints are that there is no hot tub and that the beds are a little hard for my taste. They are ok for a night or two, but if you are use to a softer bed, your back might start aching.
“Monticello tour”
The hotel is right off the interstate, however it wasn't noisy. Had to ask for the complementary newspaper--they should have been put out during the complementary breakfast. Staff didn't know anything about the local restaurants, but we found great places to eat. I'd stay at this hotel again.
“Simple hotel but extraordinarily clean and efficient”
We went looking for an inexpensive hotel because we were only staying one night, but we still wanted to be comfortable in the room. We chose this hotel based on the other reviews, and they were not wrong. This place was so clean, definitely not what you'd expect for this price range. And the staff was extremely friendly and ran the place very efficiently on a weekend when all rooms were booked. Even though the hotel was not in an active location, I would definitely stay here again.
“I've Stayed at Better Comfort Inns”
The Comfort Inn was just OK. I booked at a Comfort Inn because I had a very pleasant experience at a Comfor Inn in Golden, Colorado and thought I would try it again. This hotel was adequate. Room was clean, but general maintenance was mediocre. In the future, I would probably choose another hotel in the Charlottesville area.
“Fine for a night...”
We went to Charlottesville for one night to see Bruce Springsteen at UVA. This hotel was easy to find, clean, and fairly convenient to the concert arena. There was a hotel across the street from the arena...when I saw the craziness going on there, I was so glad I was away from it. Note that this hotel is in a place where you can not walk to anything at all. You will have to drive to get to UVA or any other part of historic Charlottesville.
“Clean, Close, and comfortable place to stay when visiting Monticello. Not a resort”
The motel was clean and functional...Security and access were fine. Rooms were large and clean... Quiet at night... Breakfast was standard..good choices, clean and fresh. Several families with children...Was no problem for us...Kids enjoyed the breakfast. We would welcome staying there again...close to main attractions of C'ville. Had one problem with "heat pump/AC unit... Very loud sound.shook the wall when the compressor went on We did not run the unit ... it was warm enough so we did not suffer.... Told front desk about it when we left. Easy fix should be made..
“Service was the best part”
An average motel experience, nothing special, but the service was excellent. Friendly helpful front desk staff. The complementary breakfast buffet was above average and above what was expected.
“Good Base for Exploring Charlottesville”
The Comfort Inn is conveniently located at the junction of two major highways: Monticello and the University of Virginia are each about 10 minutes drive away. Our room was quiet and well maintained. The breakfast included was so generous that we did not need to eat lunch later in the day. Staff at the front desk were helpful; the woman assisting in the breakfast room needed training in how to interact with the public, however. The one drawback - there is no access to Internet in the lobby area.
“Nice stopover”
We were able to have a quiet room in the back (quiet is critical to us). The pool was nice. The breakfast was definitely above average. We would stay here again.
