Nice location, dirty room

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Very nice location, very close to Cardiff bay, close to restaurants and attractions
Cons: Cleanliness if the rooms
Location: Hotel is very close to the Cardiff bay, close to nice restaurants and attractions.
We stayed in a double queen bed room with our two kids for the long weekend. Hotel is at a very nice location and looks fairly new. The restaurant and facilities are also good. However the dirty room ruins all. There were stains over the chairs and floor carpet and the bathroom was stinking when we arrived although we were told the room was prepared. We had to call the reception to get some towels as well.

Shame about the storage

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Its location
Cons: More storage in the rooms and changing the rail in the wardrobe
Location: Near Cardiff Bay/Mermaid Quay where bars/restaurants situated & Dr Who Experience. Also near city centre for castle and Millennium Stadium.
The hotel is conveniently placed for Cardiff Bay and Mermaid Quay (if you don't mind walking through two car parks and a mall/cinema). The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. However, this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in where there was no drawer storage apart from the drawer in the bedside cabinet (between the beds) containing the Gideon's Bible. So nowhere to put underclothes which had to stay in the bag. Also rail in (small) wardrobe ran from front to back instead of usual side to side meaning that you had to go through all the clothes hanging in there to find the ones you wanted. The bath also didn't drain very quickly so when having a shower, you also got a foot bath. But I would recommend it for its location.

handy for Millenium Centre

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: closeness to Cardiff Bay
Cons: Breakfast should be included in their overnight price.
Location: Theatre and dining options are plentiful.
Choose this hotel as close to the theatre and we had previously stayed here. We didn't use the bar or restaurant as we felt the price of stay wasn't the cheapest in the area and better value for money could be found elsewhere. The room seemed tired and was noisier that our previous stay so would probably look elsewhere for the next visit to the capital.

Convenient hotel close to Bay area

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: convenience to Bay area and access to Cardiff city.
Cons: segregate stag and hen parties in a separate bar area.
Location: Bay area is world class when it comes to overall facilities and things to do.
Good value for money, excellent steak house nearby. Used by stag and hen parties so language can be a bit prime on occasion. Staff were very capable and clearly often tested beyond the pale. Our second visit and no doubt we will use it again - in the Future.

Very comfortable with all facilities.

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: Attractive, good position and fully equipped room.
Cons: Operate both lifts and slow down the revolving door!
Location: A place of historical interest, entertainment for young and old and a vast choice of eating places.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was very comfortable and lacked nothing a traveller would need. The position was attractive and excellent for enjoying the sea air and also convenient for getting into the centre to visit the city or go on other trips.

Close to Cardiff Bay

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Make sure you do your homework on Google Earth to help you find this hotel. I struggled but maybe that's just my fault. Once inside, the hotel is nice, not opulent and maybe starting to date a little. The room I was given turned out to be a suite with a separate room containing a sofa, TV, kitchenette and desk. My bedroom was spacious enough, very generously sized and the suite was huge. Breakfast was standard fayre but the fruit salad was fresh and there were also small pancakes which were tasty. In conclusion, this was great value and in a good location.

Great location and very helpful staff

We were visiting cardiff for dr who exhibition and the hotel was well placed for myself and 10 yr daughter. Staff were really helpful and the size of the twin room with double beds made it a comfortable stay.
