Location: Golf, swimming, shopping.
Linked me to excellent taxi services. Internet service was good but timed out settings created slight invonveniences.

Just an expedience for us

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Pros: Had a vacancy; was reasonably close to where we wanted to be.
Cons: Most of it...
Location: It's a hotel / golf club.
Get there early, especially in winter: the car park is well-lit close to the entrance, but pitch black away from the entrance. I parked-up in complete darkness, walked past the Golf Club with zero signs for 'entrance' and finally got to the main entrance (and brilliantly-lit) chilled to the bone and 5 minutes after my wife had gone in. We had bar food... we just wanted something quick and simple. The fish (brochette) was cooked but with zero 'char'. Service was slow. OK, it was a Saturday night, but the place looked like they'd had a wedding but had no time to tidy up. The room was small but the bed was huge. Even so, the bed-end and night-stands were bigger still - leaving 6" clear each side between the night-stands and the mattress. But, there were 2 sets of 2 regular pillows... so acres of space without enough pillows. Heating was an issue. It started off too hot, and we had to open a window (and it was frosty outside) to get the temperature down to a tolerable level. In the morning, we'd got to the right temp. Bathroom: a little basis... it's one of those places that stuff a few puffed-up tissue into the box of facial tissues... a sort of 'portion control' so you can't use too many. Ventilation couldn't overcome steam off the shower... and so it went on... Wouldn't go back, unless the alternative was sleeping under a hedge.

Convenient for Cambridge

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: The rooms and staff.
Cons: Internet connection in rooms is a serious downside: this must be improved.
Location: Few minutes from Cambridge (not in the morning rush hour - it can take up to an hour!). Lots to see in Cambridge!
Excellent hotel with exceptional staff. The only downside is the lack of internet facility: very poor in rooms. Restaurant staff are outstanding. Excellent food and service.

Little jaded but very nice staff

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: Situation and facilities
Cons: Needs a refurb
Location: Golf, Spa, and all that Cambridge offers
This hotel is a little tired and could do with a major update. The situation is convenient yet peacefully in the countryside. Good facilities and easy public transport links into Cambridge. The staff are welcoming and efficient. Represents good value for money if you want spa and golf facilities but yet be close to central Cambridge. Secure free parking and good quality free WiFi.

Hotel pleasing, nice facilities, room ok

Posted 01-Oct-2014
Pros: Bar and food nice, staff very helpful and pleasant.
Cons: The rooms need to be update and air con insalled/
Location: good location taxi drive about £12.00 into Cambridge town.
The hotel itself was very nice staff very helpful, the room was disappointing could do with a good clean to get the cob webs off the corners of the ceiling,no air con room very stuffy and had to have window open to get some air, but unfortunately there was some sort of generator outside our window which kept me awake most of the night due to the noise coming from it, thus making us get up at 7am and head home so to get into our own bed for a good sleep.
