On the Beach in Byron

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: No complaints
Location: 5 minute walk from the centre of Byron Bay
We needed a room that fitted three of us, (and our bikes). The hotel was perfect, location was great, good parking, clean room and foxtel. Lovely cake upon arrival from the super friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel right on the beach

Posted 29-Jul-2014
We got there early and they let us check in along with giving us fresh milk and cake. The room was filled with a heaps of little extras that u don't usually get from a regular hotel room and was a great big sized room. The location is amazing and I will definitely be stating there again and telling friends!

great hotel and position to beach and town

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: everything, especially the location, and the two lovely ladies on reception and our rooms very cleaned each day to a very high standard
Cons: nothing
Location: hotel is only two blocks from centre of byron (jonson street) also it faces the beach which was great and had a lovely reserve in front of building
we loved the location and our outlook from our room (in fact all rooms have same outlook) which was across the little park in front of hotel towards the beach and ocean. Our room was quite big and the hotel is only 2 levels so nice low rise, it was also a lovey quick walk to middle town and upon arrival we were greated with a piece of home made chocolate cake from the lovely lady at reception!

My wife and I love this place. Stay here once a year at least. Great location, next to the beach and a short stroll to everything Byron has to offer. Will be back again

Right on Byron beach / park but no view.

Hotel dated but fine if a little expensive for what is was. Location is best attribute. 5 mins walk to main restaurant / bar area, but quiet. Close to playground. Good parking. Nice gardens backing onto reserve and beach.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and SUPERB location!

Posted 04-Oct-2013
Pros: Friday's has the best location in town with just a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants and a pleasant 50 metre stroll to the beach.
Location: The lighthouse walk from Clarkes Beach and back through the rain forest is a MUST do and a paddle with the boys at Go Sea Kayaks is highly recommended
From the moment we arrived (too early to check in as it turned out), the friendly staff lead by Sandy and Mary could not have been more helpful nor made us feel more welcome and the little things such as Mary's daily home baked cakes were a nice added touch. The Beach Cafe at nearby Clarkes Beach is the best way to start any day and there is no shortage of great restaurants to try for lunch and dinner - Byron Fresh, Mokha, Margeritas, Fishheads and the Thai restaurant at the top of Fletcher St are all highly recommended. Mind you, the Blue Olive Deli also has a great range of yummy treats to make up a picnic lunch to enjoy al fresco at the beach or back at the hotel. We made the trek to the lighthouse more than once and were well rewarded by the sensational views and by seeing several whales frolicking in the distance - we did resist the offer to go hang gliding over Tallow Beach but I must admit it looked like a lot of fun. We are definitely coming back so maybe next time!
