great place

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, friendliness of owners/staff.
Great place.....very friendly owners who were so helpful and who couldn't do enough for us. The location is perfect -about a ten minute walk into town and about a ten minute walk to the beach. The rooms were very big and very comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Thanks for a great stay in Byron

Beautiful property

Posted 28-Mar-2014
Pros: Tastefully decorated, private and close to the beach.
Cons: A bit far from the main shopping/bar area
Location: Fabulous Belongi Beach, Cape Byron Lighthouse.
Stayed for 2 nights in March 2014. The property has only 5 rooms all located around a small boardwalk/ pool area. Very pretty and peaceful. The room which had a huge bed was spotlessly clean with the usual tea and coffee making facilities. Also fast, free wi- fi which was great. The guest house is very near to the beach ( 3 mins walk) but around 10 -15 mins walk from the main shops and bars in Byron Bay along the road or along the beach. Donna ,the owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Take a trip up to Cape Byron Lighthouse and the most eastern tip of Oz, well worth the effort, beautiful views of nearby beaches, we even saw a wallaby up there!

Pros: Casual atmosphere but with a 5 star hotel luxury, and friendliness of owners.
Cons: Nothing needs to be improved
Location: Close to beach and town center.
We recently stayed 1 night at the Byron Cove Beach House, but as soon as we were greeted by the hotel owners and saw our room, we wished we had booked more nights. There is a very peaceful and casual atmosphere, even though it is only a short walk to the beach and into town. The room was spacious, very nicely furnished, clean and luxurious. Breakfast the morning of our departure was great, the owners could not do enough for us, the only downside was that there was a bit of noise from the facility next door, I think it is a car park but that is due in part because i left the windows open. I would definitely stay here again and for more than 1 night.

Byron Bay interesting B&B close to beach

Posted 18-Jan-2014
Pros: The owner's enthusiasm and welcoming warm.
Cons: Clean up and paint the fence.
Location: It's a drive away from the centre of town, really close to a lovely beach.
We were initially surprised by the Byron Cove B&B - we somehow expected something 'different' based on the posted, online photos and the close to $300 per night accommodation cost. The owner, however, was fabulous. She was welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Breakfast at the large community table was lovely - delicious espresso-style coffee. Don't be put off by the poor condition of the fence as you approach the house. Beach is a couple of minutes' walk away and gorgeous.

Relaxed Setting

Posted 24-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Very warm and friendly greeting, room large and well equipped. Lovely outlook into the centre garden and pool area. Had a lovely continental breakfast with lovely fresh foods. Totally enjoyed our stay although we had only one night, wished we had longer. The only down side was it was a little far to walk into town at night.

wow factor in a beach house

Posted 14-Oct-2013
Pros: suite was spectacular, breakfast and setting overlooking the courtyard equally beautiful, parking supplied (very hard to find in Byron Bay)
Cons: a little hard to find, and it doesn't overlook ocean
Location: close walk to beach and into Byron Bay restaurants and shops.
beach house with small # of guest suites, spectacular rooms overlooking small lap pool, close to north beach and a short walk to the main beach area in Byron Bay

Perfect getaway

Posted 02-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Just came back from 3 nights at the Byron Cove beach house. Normally I don't write reviews but in this case the time we spent was outstanding and incredible value for money. Donna, the owner, met us as we arrived and gave us a quick run down of the facilities and location and then left us to relax. The rooms are spacious, airy, quiet and well laid out. There is a small table and chairs on a deck overlooking a central pool with deck chairs around it. With only 5 rooms and leafy environment you really felt a sense of seclusion. There is quite a lot of wildlife around the rooms; birds, lizards etc. The beach is beautiful and only a short 100m walk away. The best restaurant, the Treehouse is only a walk away too. The hotel is at the entrance to Byron bay itself so you don't feel in the thick of it but at the same time all the shops and bars are within walking distance. Thanks to Donna for the welcome and great stay. We'll be back!

Amazing!!!

Posted 19-Aug-2013
Pros: Donna was so nice and helpful. She provided lots of little details that you wouldn't get in a hotel.
Location: Just outside of town, but an easy walk in - either on the road or the beach!
The beach house was just that, a house. It was comfortable with very simple style. There were lots of extras that you wouldn't get at a hotel. The breakfast in the morning set you up for the day and was delicious. Plus it was available all day if you needed it! There were towels to use for the beach, and sunscreen. The little details made all the difference. It was about a 15 minute walk into town, which was perfect. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away. Amazing location!! Although, taxi and shuttle bus drivers didn't seem to know where it was, but this was never a problem. The only complaint was that it got very cold at night and the room seemed to be lacking insulation. There was a heater though, which was necessary.
