Overall, my husband and I would definitely go back to the Dorint. We stayed for one night in a superior room with a fantastic view of the city. My husband requested flowers for valentines day, so the hotel placed a beautiful bouquet in the room (however we were charged by the hotel and it was 30 euros). Most of the staff were friendly, except for one at the desk upon check out. I felt that with what we had paid for the hotel and the great experience we had been having so far, it would have been nice if she could have at least been friendly and thanked us for staying at the Dorint. The breakfast was very good but portions small if ordered from the menu. The spa pool was a little too cool and could have been warmer. The location was excellent. The hotel was right in front of the downtown shopping area. Overall, we would come back.
Comfortable hotel just few minutes walk from town and facilities. Good wi-fi. Easy to find and parking good - although small charge. Main bedroom was good. Kids had to share sofa bed in other room which was OK but the bed wasn't flat . This was NOT a suitable hotel for self catering though. We had fridge and microwave but nothing else. There were no cooking utensils so we couldn't use microwave other than to heat drinks. And there wasn't enough crockery for the 4 of us. we had to share 2 bowls and 2 plates.
Traveller from London
Living on the highest level, perfectly situated in Baden-Baden. Our hotel is centrally situated, in the direct near of the …More
We have stayed at this hotel four times now and have never been disappointed. It is conveniently situated on the western side of the town, so handy for the motorway network and other major roads, but adjacent to the pedestrianised shopping area of Baden-Baden and other visitor attractions. It is a clever blend of old and new and the Belle Epoque part of the building boasts a splended staircase and restaurant. Undergroud car parking is good and the price competitive. Some times the reception desk could have used a few extra people, but all in all we will keep coming here. Shame we couldn't get any English speaking channels on the TV but this is not unusual in Europe. Wifi problems experienced last time seem to have been fixed.
Due to our schedule we only stayed in this hotel for one night: if we could plan again, we'd probably stay another one or two nights here.
The hotel is about 15 mins away from Baden-Baden city center. It's not super convenient but the environment is really beautiful since it's by a vineyard. The room is spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast quality is decent. The only thing I'd criticize is the mattress and pillow. The mattress is not firm enough for my wife and myself, and the pillow is way too flat without support. However, the other features of the hotel made up of the minor downsides. So we still highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to travel to the area
