“Great staff, nice location, convenient services”

The good: - right on the river trail, great if you're a runner - Starbuck's in the lobby - super-friendly, helpful staff - TGI Friday's, not haute cuisine but something for everyone - Beautiful view from lake-facing rooms The not-good: - Could barely enjoy the view because the windows were filthy - My sleep-number bed was broken, with the setting stuck on hard-as-concrete

“Noisy”

Extremely noisy. Traffic noise along with street and crowd noise. Don't expect to get any sleep until the traffic stops and people are off the street. But its nice to have the Starbucks and TGIFridays in the hotel.

“Location & Starbucks = mostly happy”

My family stays at the Radisson every time we go to Austin. We like the location on the lake, and the Starbucks within the hotel is a plus. On our most recent visit, things were a bit rougher than usual. The front desk curtly responded "No" when I asked about a lakeside view (really? never?) and the room was a bit musty. Maybe it was previously a smoking room or perhaps the drapes and carpet are just old. The room was a suite at a good price, though, and we like being next to the lake. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassle-free, and extra blankets were quickly brought up upon request. We will probably go back, although I might check around first to see if any other hotels have comparable prices for a lakeside location.

“Skip The Radisson at ALL costs!!”

The arrival of the hotel was easy and I will say that the valet was extremely outstanding. The valet was the only good experience out of our entire stay. When we returned from dinner I called the front desk for more face cloths. I waited for 45 minutes and they never arrived, I would have called again but my husband was asleep next to the room phone. The next morning I called again and was told that we would be taken care of immediately. After thirty minutes the front desk called to inquire as to whether housekeeping had arrive, which they had not. Yet, moments later housekeeping did arrive with bath towels. Unfortunately she had to return three times to gather the face cloths. The most disturbing factor was the cleanliness of the room. I needed to plug in my phone and under the nightstand were crackers. I was too frightened to look on the other side. But I was intrigued. I looked behind the headboard and it appears that someone damaged the wall which was "fixed" with a selection of odd boards, holes in the wall and missing wallpaper. The valet was excellent though but we will never return to the Radisson again!

“Roomy room but needs remodeling”

For the price and description, I expected luxury. Instead we were in a room that looked, smelled, and felt like a throwback to the 80s. The staff was pleasant, the lobby was nice, and the location was great.

“Austin”

Great location! The view to watch the bats come out from under the bridge is best at this hotel. Specifically downstairs at TGIFs. Starbucks in lobby was great convenience. This hotel is only a couple of blocks from 6th street and not far from airport. Decent neighborhood. However can hear some traffic from 10th floor. The walls seem to be paper thin and we heard police sirens coming from the streets every night. Overall not bad though.

Next to river to watch the bats fly then walking distance to everything dowtown!! Could not have gottewn a better hotel!!!
