You get what you pay for!

Pros: It was inexpensive.
Cons: See review above.
Location: Had great breakfast at Rise n' Dine in Emory Village - best breakfast my daughter and I ever had, as a matter of fact. Worth the short wait.
With the mostly okay reviews, I decided to stay here with my daughter for a visit to Emory. We got in at 10 PM and already the lobby was locked so we had to do check in through a security window. Doesn't impart a good feeling - were we checking into a high-crime hotel? Room was about as expected for the price ($72). Breakfast made me sad, as did the fitness room, with an elliptical machine that was falling apart and a cheap and worn-down treadmill. Room was okay - decorated on a shoestring budget but clean enough, despite an ink stain on the bedspread. Water stains on the ceiling in two places. Bathroom fan squealed like a stuck pig at first, but calmed down once it was on for 10 minutes. One bar of soap in the room to share between bath and sink. Didn't try the TV, but it was a small flat screen. Worst of all, on three separate occasions during the night, I heard loud talking and hollering outside my room - at 3:49 AM when drunken/high men were just getting in, at 5:15 AM (random conversation), and then at 6:30 AM (when leaving very loudly). Not much the hotel can do about this, but it does give an idea of the type of guests that frequent the place. Don't cheap out like I did - find another place to stay.

Great for the price

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: Comfortable beds and pillows, free Wi-Fi. Price.
Cons: The outside cement areas need to be redone. They look pretty old and worn. The people that run it could be a little friendlier. Better cleaning.
Location: It is just a couple of long blocks to downtown Decatur, which is a great place to shop, eat, and hang out. There is a MARTA stop in downtown Decatur.
This is an old hotel that has been renovated. The place seems a bit tired, but the inside renovations are actually quite nice. Bed and pillows very comfy, room large, new carpet & paint, and new bathroom tub, etc. TV worked, with flat screen, good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was boring, coffee in room was horrible. If someone needs a decent place to stay at a great price, this is the best bet around. They will continue to upgrade, I was told. Also, the bathroom sink was draining slowly due to a broken piece that lifts the sink stopper. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

A cut above the average Super8

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: They've poured tons of money into expansion and renovation. If you didn't know you were in a Super8 you might think you were in a Holiday Inn.
We stay there a couple of time a year to visit family. We've found them to be a good compromise between the really expensive Decatur hotels and the really shabby ones. It's our choice in Decatur. They've done a good job of staying abreast of the gentrification of the area.

Great value

Posted 30-Nov-2014
Pros: Great rates!!
Cons: Little cleaner, example: headboard dusted
Location: Lots of restaurants, shops that you can walk too, close to Atlanta
Clean, quiet, not fancy, just great for a good nights sleep and a hot shower. Parking can get a little crazy, I just parked and walked to town, would stay again.

It's a Super 8 so about what you'd expect

This place is OK-- no roaches and the lady at the counter was nice enough. The room was clean enough for a flop. The best thing about it is proximity to the square in Decatur-- you can walk 2-3 blocks and hit a dozen great bars and restaurants. Perfect if you want a pub crawl and not have to drive.

Night hotel lobby staff was not helpful.

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Told us to go to room and call can instead of calling for us. We had a package and asked three times if it arrived. She said no all three. In the morning the same box was on shelf and morning staff said it was package and gave it to us. Ridiculous

Good hotel for the price

Posted 13-Nov-2014
Pros: Rooms recently remodeled.
Cons: The lobby and breakfast were somewhat disappointing.
Location: Location was close to what I needed.
Had an issue with the reservation at check in, but it was resolved the next morning by the manager. The rooms were recently remodeled and were comfortable. A little street noise, but nothing could not live with. The location was great for Decatur. Great value.

Close to downtown Decatur.

Pros: Remodeled
Cons: No more smoking rooms.
Location: 5 min walk to great restaurants and bars.
Within walking distance from downtown Decatur, perfect location for the wine fest. Hotel staff was very helpful, even though I arrived 2 hrs before check in, they got me in a room.
