“Clean, yet not over the top hotel.”

“Great Pet Friendly Hotel”

Excellent hotel. Close to downtown, stadium, etc. Staff is as friendly as it gets. They even brought in a dog bed for our dog. Best place in Athens.

“Loved this place”

We loved staying at the Foundry Inn. The shower was fabulous. Our only complaint was that it rained while we were there and there was no common area for our family with a 7 year old to hang out and enjoy our stay since we couldn't walk the town. But, hey, the weather is not something you can control. I would definitely stay there again for the comfort. We enjoyed the food at the Melting Point and the live entertainment was good too.

Area recommendations

We were just visiting small towns and sights in the northern regions of Georgia. We did not have an opportunity to see the city of Athens due to inclement weather.

“This is where I always stay in Athens.”

Great location. Not in downtown, far away enough from the noise. Close enough to walk anywhere. Have dinner at the Melting Point. Food is very good and there is always live music.

Stayed here while looking for an apartment for our daughter who will be a first year law student at UGA. Very comfortable rooms. Great location.

“One of Athens finest!”

Were herevfor a weddding.What a perfect wedding venue. So convenient. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Especially Willie- he kept our ice buckets full, trash cans emptied and transported us around the property on a golf cart!!! We had a great time. We loved the location! So pet friendly!

“Nice hotel, great spa”

Nice hotel, rooms are simple and comfortable. The spa treatments were amazing and I would recommend them. However, we were disappointed that the on site restaurant was not open, not even for breakfast and although the hotel had a small, continental breakfast in the lobby, we would have loved to have a hot breakfast with something other than sweets. The front desk staff and the spa staff were helpful, wonderful, professional and accommodating.

Area recommendations

We enjoyed walking around downtown Athens for both dining and shopping.

“Do not stay here!”

This hotel is overranked. They may do weddings and have a great music venue, but the rooms are outdated, they smell old, the beds are not comfortable, and the service was terrible. The first room they checked us in had a broken a/c and spiders in the room. On the first floor it sounds like people on the second floor are going to come through the ceiling-very poorly designed for sound. The second room was not much better. These rooms have the window bottom unit a/c's. They are old and loud and do not cool effeciently. We had to run it on high cool in order for it to remove the humidity and would end up freezing in the night because of the terrible bedding. I live in Athens and I will never stay there again.

Area recommendations

Watson Mill Bridge is a nice day trip.
