This little simple hotel is right in the heart of where you want to stay. Best thing about it is the location! Just off a side street making it extremely quiet! You won't hear any noise at night, yet you are two minutes from a main street in the Plaka. Don't expect big rooms, fancy lobby, or luxuries. But you will get a very clean hotel with excellent staff.

The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and that was what was most important to us. The area around the property was not very attractive but we were glad it was within walking distance to restaurants and the shopping center.

Great location and clean
I stayed at Athos for five nights. It is a clean, comfortable hotel, and people are friendly and helpful. I got an upgrade to live on the rooftop level with a nice view of the Acropolis. We are good since we plan to hop to different islands and did not pack a lot of luggage, but if you have a big size/lots of luggage, please ensure you check if the room size is right for you, or use the storage option available from the hotel. I feel safe even walking back to the hotel late at night. It is also in a very great location and close to everything.

Arrived late - hotel is in a small side road so we were concerned where we had booked. We needn't have been concerned. Hotel is small and we had booked a standard room - 104. Had the smallest bathroom - only 1 person in at a time as no room. Bed was hard. We overlooked the front of the hotel which was a tad noisy at night but not so bad as to disturb all night. Didn't have breakfast there. Staff were very friendly. Excellent location for Plaka - 5 minute walk. Down the other way was the main modern shopping and eating area. Very safe. In spite of the bed we had a great stay

Just okay. Yes, it’s a convenient location but there are plenty of hotels in the area with the similar price. The wifi didn’t work most of the times. Rooms need to be updated. We got a room with “acropolis view”. The staff was friendly.

I recommend Athos 100%! My experience was just great! The staff is very kind and helpful since the beginning ( before booking) they were answering very fast all my questions! The hotel is not fancy but it is clean and I felt secure! The room was small( everything is small in Athens) The bed was ok (I always carry my pillow) so I had no problem! The location is just in the heart of Athens, you can walk anywhere and if you have tours to do the meeting point will be less than 5’, less than 5’ to transportation. Thank you again to everyone! Excellent service, very clean. Just a little bit tight if you get the basic room, but otherwise a nice clean safe and convenient place to stay. 5 min walk from Syntagma metro. Highly recommended. Superb dining and shopping options all within a short walk. Excellent starting point for Athens. Yasas!

The hotel was great and in a great location. However, the beds were HARD and the walls were not noise proof at alll. We were woken up at 3am to a family leaving or coming back or something cause you can hear everything no matter how quite.

Only stayed one night at this hotel on level 3. Convenient location and fine for what we needed. Clean and reasonably quiet. No amenities in bathroom. Wifi signal extremely poor. Bed and pillows very firm, but slept ok. Television has one English channel for those who want to watch. Very bad picture on all channels and signal drops in and out while watching. Overall, a decent hotel for a night.

Centrally located, close enough to the train, easy check in (early check in), friendly and helpful staff, room was fabulous, literally opened the window and there was the acropolis. Nice open deck to view the acropolis at night. Very close to the square, shopping, restaurants and bars. Stayed 2 nights on the front end and will be returning for 2 nights on the back end. Excellent experience.

The Hoel Athos is in an excellent location in Athens. The property is only a 5 minute walk from Syntagma Square and a 10 minute walk into the heart of the Plaka. There are many restaurants and cafes as well as the main shopping street, Ermou Street, within a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

Location was good, not dodgy like I read from other reviews, 24hour reception, it did have views of the Acropolis but not that great from the room. Was good from the roof. Double bed was just 2 singles pushed together, not that comfortable for a couple. Super tiny elevator for two. Good greek restaurant opposite this hotel.

It’s close to everything. The coffee was good. The beds were very hard. Bring your own iron, you need to go to the basement to iron your clothes.

Great service with a smile. Our plane was delayed and after a whole day of travel they made arrangements to have car service pick us up at 3AM. The location is fantastic and they helped tremendously every day with how to navigate our stay. A small hotel and small room but perfect...Everything that you need for a city stay.

Great location, clean room. However, I had to give my credit card to pay $60USD at the end of the trip when I already booked via Orbitz and paid before arriving at the property. I don't know why i had to double pay.

Other than fine location it was a bit dreary. Beds were uncomfortable. Curtains were dirty. Room smelled a little. Room safe was broken. I asked repeatedly for it to be fixed but all I got was excuses and smiles. I had to carry around all valuables all day long. Very uncomfortable. The staff made no effort to comply And they constantly pushed their breakfast on us at an extra cost. .

Great location
Stayed here for 3 nights - convenient location, clean compact rooms. Easy to walk to Acropolis, Hadrian’s arch, the Plaka and syntagma Square. Breakfast was so so. Staff friendly and helpful.
