Ideal location for Acropolis

Posted 12-Apr-2014
Pros: Staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was basic but clean and functional.
Cons: I like tomatoes for breakfast.
Location: Situated close to the Acropolis in a street lined with beautiful orange trees. Acropolis station is nearby.
WeI stayed in April using it as a base to explore the amazing sites of Athens.

Good location for seeing Athens

Posted 07-Mar-2014
Pros: Friendly and very polite staff. Strong WIFI connection. Good selection of breakfast food. Quiet location overall.
Cons: Bathroom was small but functional. Water pressure from shower not very powerful. More pillows per bed than just one.
Location: The hotel is in a great location for seeing the main sites of Athens. The Acropolis was within 300metres from the hotel. Restaurants near by.
The hotel is in a great location for seeing the main sites of Athens. The Acropolis was within 300metres from the hotel. Cafes and restaurants were nearby and easy to get to by walking. Our room had a balcony. Although the view from the balcony was nothing to get excited about i.e. overlooking other residential buildings, it was away from the main street so there were no issues with traffic noise. I am glad I chose a hotel that was set back from the main road. There was a dog in the apartment blocks opposite our balcony (opposite the hotel) and the dog barked quite a lot when it was out on the apartment balcony during the day and evening. The dog seemed to bark at random things as there were no other dogs around it. This was a bit of a nuisance but by the time we went to bed the dog was locked up inside and we were able to sleep without any trouble. We got used to the random barking and it did not spoil our overall stay. Breakfast food was good. The food selection was the same everyday but the selection offered was good enough for one to try something different if only staying for a few nights. The staff were very polite and helpful. Nothing to fault regarding how accommodating the staff were. They even allowed us to check out slightly late with no extra cost on the date of our departure. This was a kind gesture and very appreciated.

Central and quiet

Posted 27-Feb-2014
Pros: Its location, pleasant staff.
Cons: Beginning to show its age. It was recently refurbished and I preferred the d├ęcor before that (softer carpets!).
Location: Close to Plaka, the Acropolis and the new museum, ten minutes walk from Syntagma.
Good. Several school parties came and went during my stay and the hotel gave clients the option of moving rooms if they did not wish to be in the middle of a bunch of children. The only problem sizable parties gave rise to was their tendency to arrive at breakfast all at once. If the desk staff knew when the groups were going to descend on the dining room, they were always happy to suggest a good time to avoid them.

Diappointing

Posted 23-Jan-2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Alost everything
This hotel claims to have some international standard, but ......... First of all I was welcomed by group of screaming children running through all hotel. Secondly they did not have the ordered room and put me in other room in 6th floor, which was much smaller, but they claimed the room has beautiful terrace with Acropolis view. You could see the Acropolis, but the terrace was really ugly and dirty. The wi-fi internet did not work in the 6th floor at all. The bathroom needs a complete remodelling and has to be cleaned properly. The hotel location is really great, but the management should really improove the services offered. Next time I will choose another hotel which will fullfil all my standard needs.

Great hotel but a tiny bit pricey

Posted 12-Jan-2014
The place was in a perfect part of town about 5 minutes from the Plaka district and 10 minutes from the acropolis and the museum of the acropolis. Staff were great with a lot of advice and a lot of patience. Great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone with a little extra pocket change!

Good hotel location, small rooms

Posted 05-Jan-2014
Great location and great front desk service! Breakfast had a lot of variety. Hotel room was clean but small but you aren't there to spend a lot of time in the room so it was fine. Clean is the important part!
