“Good for the price”
Basic room and motel but a good value for the money. Comfortable room and dogs allowed which is why we ended up there.
“If you just need a bed to sleep on...”
Stay here only if you just need a bed to sleep on and nothing else matters. The rooms are clean enough and fairly comfortable. The hotel is older and has not been updated in a while, at least that's the way they look. The outside stairs on the building had individual steps that had broken concrete which could easily cause someone to stumble and hurt themselves. All in all, I won't be staying here again. There are nicer hotels within two miles which would make a better stay.
“very satisfied with our stay!!”
Our bed was very comfortable and the pillows were very fluffy. We had a refrigerator and coffee pot which was nice. The breakfast that was complimentary was fine. We enjoyed our stay and found out later that Asheville was completely booked up with everyone viewing the fall leaves and just having fun. We will be coming back for the candlelight Christmas tour before Christmas at Biltmore (a must see) and would plan on staying there again.
“"would go back"”
The hotel was nice and clean and the breakfast buffet was really good. The location is closer than we realized to downtown asheville and the biltmore house.
“I'll visit again”
I let Expedia book this hotel for me in exchange for a reduced rate and was nervous that it would be in a bad part of town or shabby. Some of the reviews weren't so complimentary but I was only going to be there for one night, so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to find the staff friendly and helpful, my room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I usually find small flat pillows even in some of the best hotels, but was pleased that my bed had substantial pillows. The hotel was a little hard to find because it is on a road that winds behind a somewhat new shopping center with several restaurants, but I just followed my GPS to it. It also was conveniently located in a retail area just off I-240. Very convenient. I'll definitely stay there again when I visit Asheville.
“OK for the price”
Hotel was fine -- much better than another Ramada in this town. Biggest problem was that we needed two non-smoking rooms, and only got one; with three people in the party with allergies, that's not acceptable. The website also said Queen beds and we only had full-sized. But, it was clean, and had a great location. Breakfast could have been better -- many things were cold. All in all, for what we paid, it was fine.
“Asheville Ramada is a good deal”
We didn't expect much for the reasonable price we paid, and we were pleasantly surprised. The pool and hot tub were nice, the breakfast was more than adequate, the staff was helpful, and the location was ideal for both the city and the mountains.
“Alright for the money”
We stayed here last year and the door to the side entrance to the main building is still not opening properly. The overall appearance looks like the management does not care about presentation. The breafast was adiquate at best. The hallways could use some ventalation or some A.C. to remove the stale smell. Overall you get what you pay for. I was looking for a bed to sleep in and the bed are comfortable nothing luxurious about this place. but I would return for the price I paid not their normal price.
“Second time visiting this year. Unfortunately disappointed”
I chose this hotel based on its excellent location, pet friendly policy and a previous very positive experience 9 months ago. Unfortunately this experience did not meet my expectations. I chose a balcony suite for the kitchen ammenities and access to an outdoor balcony. Unfortunately my refrigerator was out of order and although the management did offer to remedy the problem, their enthusiasm for doing so seemed underwhelming so I chose to stay without this ammenity. Part of my disappointment was of my own doing. I understood a "balcony" room to imply second floor or above. To me, ground floor would be a patio. My misunderstanding but also my disappointment. On a positive note, the pet friendly policy is truly "friendly". I detected that my pets were welcome as guests.
“Non-plussed”
Although the hotel and accommodations were unimpressive, the location was convenient to downtown Asheville (travel from exit 8 to exit 5A took only a few minutes) and also to Biltmore Estates (less than 15 minutes).
