Centrally located and the Red Light district

Posted 22-Apr-2014
The hotel is located in a part of Amsterdam that is close to all the action. The staff at the Hotel are great, friendly and knowledgeable. The action is about 10 minute walk from the hotel, which is great because your not deep in the noise and confusion, but close enough. Everyone should visit Amsterdam at least once in their life.

Very pleasant hotel

We stayed for a long weekend and found the hotel to be within easy reach of most of the tourist attractions. We ate in the hotel restaurant - very good food and not overly expensive. Very enjoyable weekend.

Good central location on quiet street.

Comfortable and well located hotel, but breakfast almost inedible - rubbery cooked food, stale pastries and stewed coffee, at outrageous price. Local cafes do it much better so give it a miss in the hotel.

Excellent.

The hotel is just 5 mins from Dam Sq. but in a very quiet street. It met our every need and was good value for money. We would normally not use a hotel restaraunt but found the one here to be very good and would recommend it, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good too with a wide choice at the buffet and quick service.

Excellent and recommended

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Closeness to centre of town
Cons: Perhaps an in-hotel café serving cheaper options for breakfast / meals
Location: Only about 20 minute walk to Central Station and 10 minute walk to Dam Square
We stayed 3 nights at the Radisson Blu and found it to be very good. Rooms were very clean and spacious with everything we required. We asked for more pillows as the ones supplied were very flat and they were there when we came back later in the day. We stayed on a room only basis and it would have been nice if there had been a cheaper option for breakfast and evening meal which we would then have used but there were plenty decent cafes and restaurants close by. Very well situated for all the sightseeing etc. Would return in the future without hesitation.

Friendly hotel

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, hotel clean and tidy
Cons: Make sure that there is plenty of things for two people in the rooms eg one tea bag, one lot of coffee, one dressing gown and slippers
Location: Location good for most thing, walking distance for most things
Upgraded to business class but, everything in the room was for one person and not two

Weekend I Amsterdam

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Location is good, and upgraded room ok.
Cons: Main problem we had was with a too hot bed room, not cooled by full on airco.
Location: In the centre of Amsterdam, walking distance to all the main attractions.
For a short stay in the heart of Amsterdam this hotel is a good option, as confirmed by the many other sight seers staying there. Like all Amsterdam hotels this is a bit quirky - combination of several buildings - but the "Business Class" upgrade we took was very comfortable.

Good location for weekend stay

Posted 29-Mar-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff and you get what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. The temperature control in the room is a great feature.
Cons: I am a bit disappointed to be given a room with a inward facing view of the reception. Would prefer looking outside. Didn't know I need to ask.
Good impression as we walked into the lobby, which essentially is an atrium that combines the various old buildings of this hotel. Everything is as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Room is on the small size but its well designed, with comfortable bed and choice of pillows. There is a very good restaurant and bar, plus gym facilities.

A very comfortable hotel in a good location.

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: Central location
Cons: Nothing needs improving.
Location: Central location, short walk to all local attractions, museums, bars, restaurants and many more.
In the Centrum district, close to all the museums, bars and restaurants. Staff were all courteous and attentive. We upgraded our room to a Golden Age room to benefit from a more inclusive package.
