Convenient for the airport

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: A nice room for the price.
Cons: Move the reception so that you don't freeze next to the door while you wait to check-in. Stock the restaurant with more food.
Location: The location was good for the airport. Near-by were a couple of take-aways and pubs but restaurants were quite far away (except for the hotel one).
We stayed here for just one night due to flying from the near-by airport early the next morning. Check-in was straight forward and staff were friendly. Our room was nice for the price and had the amenities you would expect. On the negative side - we decided to go out for some food but couldn't find anywhere decent near-by. An internet search revealed the nearest places were quite some walk. Even the bars realised this and said we were 'free to bring a take away in and eat it here'. Having given up on that we used the restaurant in the hotel which by 9pm had run out of half of the menu.

Cheap hotel. OK

Posted 25-Nov-2014
OK cheap is hotel. I stayed in exec room. Poor signage to room. So easy to get right. Staff OK. Room OK. Shower so poor variable temp - as usual. Hotels are morons. Newspaper not delivered.

High on price but short on space.

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Nothing really wrong with this hotel but for £90 per night I have stayed in far far better. Room was tiny with just enough space to get round the bed which was very firm to the point I woke several times. Bathroom even more cramped. Room service menu very short on options. Bar seemed upbeat but didn't try the restaurant.

Okay for one night

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: Location good.
Cons: Communication, had to tell reception 3 times about T.V. not working & twice about heating not working.
Location: Close to shops. restaurants & Metro Line into Manchester.
Stayed for 3 nights B & B. Night one no T.V. fixed the following day @ 4.00 pm. Night two no heating, fixed the following day @ 4.00 pm. Had breakfast on first morning did not bother for the other two days. Worse cup of coffee ever, breakfast was not good at all. Everything just keep warm for to long, Stayed for 3 nights and put in a room next to 4 rooms they were doing up. Banging, sawing from 8.30 am. Also no chair in room only bed to sit on. Alright for 1 night bed only no good for short stay , better hotels around.

Power cut and no help

Posted 16-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Unfortunately there was a power cut in the area. These things happen, but the hotel could not help in any way. We ended up having to arrange alternative accommodation ourselves - 20 miles away. Maybe it's unfair to score '1', but we can't score higher and there is no 'n/a' option!

Simply Great

Posted 14-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
An excellent hotel with an excellent lobby area, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The rooms are quiet and comfortable despite being on a busy main road. The only downside is the rooms are a little bit small and feel cramped, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the whole room was very clean.

Rubbish Hotel

Posted 06-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
Small Rooms, uncomfortable bed, almost no choice on the menu and a noisy room that you could hear the road and next doors telly in. Not great after a long day of meetings.
