I have stayed at this hotel before. Very convenient and a quiet location away from the noise of the city. Also very convenient since a large reason for staying in Alpine was to travel to Marfa and see family and friends.

Good Weather, some hard rain, rooms dry and comfortable, A/C worked like it should. Was quoted a room with Double Bed, our room had a King Size, very much appreciated. Penny's was a SMASH, really enjoyed the Food, Waitress, Cook, Salsa and price. Location was excellent as well, right outside the sleeping area so we didn't have the noise or smell of cooking food all night.

We have stayed at some of the chain motels/hotels in alpine. After staying at The Maverick Inn one weekend i was hooked. I will never stay anywhere else. This place just oooooooooozes charm. I have seen alot of negative reviews on how small the bathrooms are. This is true, they are small but do-able. Had no problem with it. We have been back three times now and many more to come i am sure due to the fact that our daughter is attending Sul Ross State University which is directly across the street. No need to drive as everything is located within walking distance.
In town for a one night stay. The double queen room was spacious and clean. The full breakfast consisted of serve yourself biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, milk, and fruit that I can remember. Our room had an issue with hot water in the shower/tub, but has been reported. Hot water in the lavatory was not an issue. Coffee in the room was tasty. The property has a large, well lit parking lot with a 50's style diner just a few yards away. It was quiet and comfortable. I would stay here again.
