Alamo, McAllen Hotels

The city of Alamo, located in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas, is about an hour west of the Gulf of Mexico and a 20-minute drive from the Mexican border. Known as the Refuge to the Valley, Alamo is the doorway to the 2,088-acre (8.5 km2) Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge with its abundant species of birds and butterflies.
