"A lovely stay at this property with our 2 year old.The apartment had everything we needed and communication with the host was very good
There are steep hills to access the property by car or foot so bear that in mind but we managed fine with a pram and a car its just worth noting
Handy to have laundry facilities on site aswell.
There is a coop just a few minutes down the road
Lovely views and a clean pool which was perfect for our little one to use and toys there that he could play in the...

"Stunningly beautiful property with unbelievable vistas from the dining room and pool (amazing). The staff were attentive, helpful, and cheerful and the food was excellent (some of the best we had in all of Italy). They offer free shuttle rides to the city with the last shuttle returning at 6:30 PM. We felt pampered and would actually have preferred to have stayed and spent more time at the hotel rather than running around Florence. Great place to relax and decompress."

The apartment is great as is the pool, and marco who looks after it is very nice. There is absolutely nothing in the area, you need to get the 37 bus to Florence if you want to eat or drink anything. The co-op is closed from 8pm and all day Sunday, the only restaurant closed down recently so at 7:30pm on a Saturday we found ourselves with nowhere whatsoever to eat. We had bread that we bought earlier at the shop, and on Sunday we ate in Florence before getting the bus back - be careful, half of...

An excellent and well run home. Spacious, comfortable and with everything you could wish for. The hotel was handy for getting into Florence, the shuttle bus is particularly good value and also for relaxing once you get back. The staff are all lovely and did everything to make it a great experience. Will be our go to place for future stays in Florence. One minor issue was the combined bath/shower which was a bit tricky to get in and out of to use the shower. The bath also had no plug when we...

We stayed at the Hotel David for four nights. The staff are welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff did an invisible but excellent job, leaving our room immaculate every day. Our twin room was spacious, with ample storage space, and a large shower room off a small hallway. The bed was very comfortable. There a wide variety of food for breakfast, including fresh fruit and freshly made pastries and cakes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind the 15-20-minute walk...

This is a lovely hotel with very accommodating and friendly staff. It's situated outside of Florence about 20 minutes by car, however the hotel runs a shuttle bus, but last one back from Florence is at 7.30 p.m. which means you miss the night time atmosphere and views in the city unless you pay for a cab. The hotel is sat in beautiful surrounding and gardens with paved walks through the grounds.

This is a lovely horel in a quiet area of the old historic area. This staff were very welcoming and gave us a map and gave us advice on restaurants and attractions. A very comfortable bed with lovely linen and fluffy towels. Grat breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and stay again.

We have travelled all over the world and have to say our 4 day trip to Florence was fantastic and made even better by the hotel, the room and the staff could not have been better. Nothing we asked of them was a problem no matter how small and the hotel location is perfect.

One of the best hotels I have stayed - small, 'boutique' feel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff - they seemed to want us to enjoy our stay ! Stayed 2 x one night, so had 2 different rooms - both quite different, but both excellent quality & space. Dinner in restaurant was superb; breakfast buffet excellent. c. 20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, maybe 30 mins to Ponte Vecchio, or use the shuttle bus or taxis. Highly recommended - can't wait to go back !

We paid high rates for a Junior Suite in a top hotel and the unexpected upgrade provided 'excellence and perfection'.
It was a concern however that the pillows on the settee had 'pictures of dogs'. Was this the suite for specified small handbag sized canines as mentioned in the brochure? As a person allergic to dog hair I kept out of the area!
Breakfast provided a wide variety and sufficient to eat but the quality of the fruit was disappointing - it was lacking variety which was out of...

Very pleased with our hotel, it had both character and a touch of luxury! Beautiful dining room also where we had breakfast, but service could certainly be improved there. Still it would not put us off staying here again when we return to Florence.

The best area to stay in Tavarnuzze is within the village centre itself, or just outside its immediate perimeter for a more secluded experience.
Tavarnuzze is a small, typically Tuscan village located just south of Florence. The village centre is compact and offers a selection of local shops, a pharmacy, and a few traditional eateries. The main road, Via Cassia, runs through the village, making it easy to navigate. You'll find a relaxed, local atmosphere here, away from the busier tourist hubs.
For couples seeking a quiet and authentic Tuscan experience, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be able to stroll to local trattorias for dinner, pick up fresh produce from the market, and enjoy the slower pace of life. It's also well-connected by local bus services to Florence, making day trips straightforward.
Families often find properties just outside the village perimeter to be an excellent choice. These often include villas or farmhouses with private gardens and pools, providing more space and privacy.
When is the best time to go to Tavarnuzze?
The best time to go to Tavarnuzze is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant and the Tuscan landscape is at its most inviting.
For those looking to enjoy the region's natural beauty and outdoor activities, spring offers comfortable temperatures, fewer crowds than the peak summer season, and the vineyards and olive groves are lush and green. It's an excellent time for walking or cycling through the countryside.
Autumn is ideal for food and wine enthusiasts. The harvest season brings many local festivals, and the cooler weather is great for exploring vineyards, sampling new olive oil, and enjoying hearty Tuscan cuisine.
