Notre hôte a été des plus accueillants et nous a même accompagné à l'aéroport à 5h45 du matin suite au désistement de notre taxi. Plus qu'une adresse, c'est un joli cocon que vous trouverez. Nous recommandons +++"

Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa – Adults only (+18)

8/10 Good

"We really liked our two weeks at the hotel. my wife and I. I was however more than slightly unhappy by the lack of heating in the pools, which I reported through Expedia as well as not being offered a VIP upgrade or a few hours late checkout. The hotel guest services came back to me within hours and while it didn't make the pools warmer it did make us feel hugely better. Part of the remedy included the later checkout. I have to say the hotel restaurants have a have fantastically extensive menus with dishes which are genuinely fresh and well prepared. With staff who were always polite and flawless in their services. Added to which the hotel IT system clearly worked very well as the staff at a restaurant or bar would ask how was such a thing we had asked about relating to our minibar for example. It made us feel that what we said mattered and was being taken seriously. The other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel offers a really extensive range of activities which you need to log onto the app to know about. These including but not limited to, shooting, archery, cooking, mixing drinks, tennis. The list really is long. This was the first time we have stayed at a Secrets hotel, and we think it may not be our last. I would certainly recommend the Lanzarote Secrets."

Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Great first impression, lobby is beautifully presented and smells lovely, check in nice and relaxed with seats and drinks! Room was fantastic, very spacious, great sea view (especially at sunrise!), comfy and large bed, clever and well thought out controls. Breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, lots of options every night with different themes giving plenty of variety, and always some plain options for picky eaters Pool and bar/grill area was great, with more tasty food and gorgeous views over the beach. Hydrothermal circuit in the spa was lovely and relaxing, we particularly liked the recommended order to help those less experienced get the most benefit, and the pool had so many different features that gave massage-like experiences. All staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and spoke good english"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Soo?

The best area to stay in Soo is the village centre, particularly for those seeking a tranquil escape with convenient access to the island's natural beauty.

The village centre of Soo is characterised by its traditional Canarian architecture, with whitewashed houses and narrow, winding streets. It's a small, quiet community, offering a genuine sense of local life away from the more tourist-heavy areas. You'll find a few local shops for essentials and some charming eateries.

Couples looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway will find Soo ideal. The village provides a calm base from which to explore the island, with opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying the natural surroundings. It's superb for those who appreciate quiet evenings and mornings without the hustle and bustle.

Solo travellers seeking a reflective and relaxed trip will also appreciate Soo. The village offers a wonderful sense of calm, allowing for quiet contemplation and a chance to disconnect.

When is the best time to go to Soo?

The best time to visit Soo, Canary Islands, is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) months.

During these periods, you'll experience pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 26°C, with less wind than in the winter and fewer crowds than in the peak summer. This makes it ideal for exploring the island's volcanic landscapes, enjoying the beaches, or participating in outdoor activities like hiking and surfing without the intense heat or busier conditions of July and August.

For those looking to enjoy the warmest sea temperatures and a lively option, July and August are also excellent choices, though you should expect more visitors and slightly higher prices.
