Thanks to its otherworldly landscape, many of Lanzarote’s most famous attractions come from the natural world. From the volcanoes and lava fields of the Timanfaya National Park to the Jameos del Agua, incredible rock formations created when underground lava tunnels collapsed, exposing the subterranean world to the sky. Another of Lanzarote’s famous natural attractions is the Cueva de los Verdes, a spectacular lava tube that’s home to an underground concert hall. During your time on Lanzarote you can also see The Cactus Garden, a large, landscaped area that’s home to over 1000 plant species, and Castillo de San Gabriel, an imposing 16th century castle located on a tiny islet off of the coast of Lanzarote.

4. Timanfaya National Park
