"Highly recommend staying here if it’s within your budget! If you have the Hakone Freepass, then head to Gora and the hotel has a very convenient shuttle bus stop there that runs every 20 min. Upon arriving staff greeted us, took our luggage, and coordinated check in. After check in, staff immediately escorted us to the room with our stuff while telling us highlights of the property, such as where the onsens were and where breakfast was. The room itself was great. It’s nice and clean. They have yukatas in the room but you need to request for kids size. Obviously the best part is having your own personal tub on the balcony with hot spring water and cold water to adjust to your personal comfort. Shower pressure was good and they provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and 2 kinds of lotions. The beds were very comfy with plush pillows and a fluffy comforter. We personally prefer to sleep in a cold room and had control over the thermostat. Food wise we did the package with both dinner and breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet came with all you can drink with select beer, sake, sochu up"

"I had higher expectations but overall not bad. Beware this is a family resort so expect running screaming kids especially at dinner and breakfast."

"If you are going to Hakone, you should stay, and stay at the Fujiya Hotel for at least two nights. This place is magical, and the staff are unbelievably attentive and kind. The onsen is the definition of relaxing and has amazing views. The massage and facial were amazing. The western breakfast was so good, and the dinner at the restaurants in the hotel is worth the price for the experience. Don’t miss your opportunity to stay here if you pass through Hakone!"

"We had an amazing stay and our only regret was that we only stayed one night. Our room was large, the beds comfortable and the bathroom new and efficient. The overall properties and amenities were well above what we had expected. Stay at least 2 nights and enjoy both a wonderful property and beautiful area. "

"This establishment was an awesome choice for our Hakone visit, a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The was great reception and attentiveness of the staff, to unlimited amenities, and spacious room with a private open air bath, all exceeding our expectations. The public bath area was very nice and well worth time spent to include saunas. Additionally, included was an extensive spread for breakfast and dinner - you are sure to walk away satisfied. The food was so fresh and flavorful, I wanted to ask for recipes. The staff was helpful, friendly offering 1st class service. The hotel is minutes away from public transport which help us easily move from one place to another. I have already recommended this hotel to others and I’d surely book again."

"I love Toyoko-Inn in Odawara!!! They give free breakfast!!!! And their breakfast is great with many dishes! The kitchen staff is AMAZING! They are great ladies, always saying "Good morning!" and "Thank you very much." The hotel staff is friendly and helpful! The rooms are really nice! As in many hotels in Japan, rooms are only cleaned once AFTER each 3 nights, i.e., on the day of the 4th nice. It's "ECO Stay." Free coffee until midnight EVERY DAY!!!! Their coffee is GOOD! Don't go to Starbucks :-) Washing clothes is cheap. 200 yen to wash a 5KG load. 100 yen every 30 minutes to dry, but it seems the dryers are not on high heat setting. So, you might want to dry the non-heavy clothes first, like shirts/t-shirts, then the heavy ones with themselves with extra 100 yen coins. I would stay at Odawara Toyoko-Inn! They are a bit better than the Toyoko-Inn in Yashio, Tokyo!"

"Very clean room and clean hotel all together. Very peaceful. Staff was great and they even gave skin care routines when we arrived. Honestly, this hotel would be perfect if they would just add more clothes washing machines. they only had 2 for the whole hotel, so sometimes you couldn’t get a wash in when it was convenient for you. "
