It was overlooking the lake and next door to both the Rope-way (Tram up to Gora) and the Pirate ship (which goes back and forth to the south end of the lake). The area had less traffic and was much quieter than expected. The hotel is new, modern with a great spa / Onsen baths and option to include meal at their large very nice / tasty buffet on site (very convenient). The rooms are super clean and very comfortable if a bit austere. The staff were all fabulous.
