A unique property beautifully mainted to the the original standard it was built. Staff extremely professional. Enjoyed the fixed course breakfast and al a carte dinner but try and reserve upon arrival since there are very few alternative dinner options in the area.
Good hotel in beautiful area.close to local train and surrounding areas. Hotel is clean and has lots of history. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend
Awesome hotel! The whole hotel is so beautiful, and all of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved that there were restaurants and the onsen and spa on site so we were able to relax without even leaving the property if we wanted. Everything was clean and well maintained and all of the restaurants were delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance.
We had the loveliest Japanese style breakfast, the grounds are gorgeous, and the hotel is so majestic. We used the Ibsen and sauna as well. Awesome! We will definitely will come back.
The staffs are very friendly. They have foreign staffs for western visitors. The hotel is very clean. I like their onsen, clean and quiet.

Great hotel. Has lots of history, spacious rooms great staff and a fabulous onsen. Also very convenient for the bus and Myonashita station. There are a few cafes and restaurants close by.
Architecture is beautiful - it seems we were walking into history. Service was excellent and technology inside was top of the line. We had a wonderful stay.
A very quiet historical hotel with a beautiful garden. The staff were helpful and responsive. The restaurants in the hotel were excellent and happy hour in the lounge.
Beautiful historic hotel. The staff were very attentive. The onsen was quite relaxing with a nice view of the mountainside. We stayed in a twin room with a forest view and it was very spacious with a calming atmosphere and peaceful forest view from the room's window.
The hotel and our room was so beautiful and the service was great. While all of the staff were great, we were really impressed by the trainee bell hop who helped us carry all of our luggage and was very sweet. Highly recommend!
The Fujiya Hotel is a historic gem in an unforgettable setting, with a staff that is extremely friendly, competent and professional. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience with a beautiful onsite onsen, and easy access to all the best that Hakone has to offer. Definitely one of my all-time favourite travel experiences!
Great staff. Food service was spectacular, however a little too much artistic license was taken with old standards.

This legendary quiet luxurious hotel was everything I expected. The room was clean and beautiful in a simple traditional Japanese way. The amenities are excellent. I enjoyed the onsen and sauna. The Japanese gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful and relaxing. Also, do not miss out on having lunch or dinner at the French restaurant. The food and the service were exquisite.
Such a special hotel, really feels unique and traditional with exceptional service from staff. A great base to explore the area and their Kikkaso restaurant was such a highlight - one of the best meals we had on our trip. Would 100% stay there again
Beautiful hotel - what you would imagine as ‘old Japanese style’, but with all the comforts you need in today’s world. The people and service amazing. Great location to access the attractions all around the area - via using the very easy to use public services.
