"The overall aspect of the property was misleading, the property wasn't of a standard that I would expect from a Vrbo property or any rental property, the cleanliness was far from acceptable, massive cobwebs in a few rooms, stains on carpets, rugs that we really a bad trip hazards, the one at the top of the stairs which we moved, sofa bed not fit for purpose, stains on bedding, dishwasher didn't clean properly, no welcome pack, lights in the small bedroom wasn't working, mold and grime build up...

"10 minutes to get hot water - old system apparently"

"We only stayed for 1 night with our dogs, the grounds of the hotel are stunning with lovely views. We were only given 1 bottle of water for our room, when booking I was advised the additional supplement for pets would ensure plenty water in the room, this was not the case but we had plenty with us anyway so didn't see the point in mentioning it. We pet friendly restaurant was lovely albeit dirty wine glasses on the tables covered in lipstick. The starer came out way to quick literally took our order and bang it was on the table. Overall we enjoyed our stay just needs a little attention to detail."

"Stay at Doubletree in Chester was very good. The room was very clean, bed was super comfy and it was very modern. The hotel décor, spa facilities, restaurant and bar area including the outside area and patio was well maintained. One particular Receptionist had no clue how to do her job whatsoever. The other Receptionist not too sure of her name, a younger girl was very pleasant and clearly knew how to do her job well. Two things needed to be improved, we tried to check in our room just after 3pm and it wasn't ready. We decided to go and have a drink on the patio as it was a very hot day, the clueless Receptionist wasn't very apologetic at this and tried to make out we were wrong, when in fact we were right that we could check in at 3pm as stated on the app!! It was extremely busy as we stayed over a Bank Holiday and clearly, the staff were not prepared for the amount of people who were staying, breakfast was very busy, tables weren't laid out, no clean cutlery on there or mug available, I had to ask a waitress fornsome for me and my husband. The breakfast was good quality and even better included in the price. The location of the hotel is ideal and central if wanting to explore Chester. Would certainly recommend and the welcome cookie was a nice added extra."

"The room was pretty much clean, not perfect but well maintained. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed breakfast every morning and having the option to use the bar until late, this was particularly helpful when wanting a cold drink when I came in after a day of exploring. Helpfully close to the station and town, many places and sights within walking distance. Didn't get a chance to use the spa but would love to go back to try it. Overall great hotel and would definitely book again."

"Had an overnight stay on a short visit to Buxton. The hotel is ideally located and had parking at a reasonable cost. Close to town centre etc. As it was only a quick stop we went for one of the cheaper rooms. It was a good sized double with large bathroom and tea/ facilities and biscuits, obviously didn’t have much of a view as it was a lower priced room. Breakfast was included in the cost and was very good plenty to choose from and freshly cooked. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly use the hotel again."

"Was a bit wary about this stay as we've had bad experiences in Brittania hotels before. However, these fears were unfounded. It was excellent, enormous room, with TV to match. Pool and spa were great. Spotless throughout. Mikey on reception was very helpful and welcoming. Overall excellent stay, only improvement could be air conditioning, although temperature remained pleasant in the room even in hot weather."
