The apartment was fantastic, plenty of space for relaxing in the lounge, whipping up a quick snack in the kitchen (which was very well equipped with toaster over, stovetop range, cutlery, plates, and a small refrigerator). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel is set back far from the small highway, so no noises disturbed our sleep. We had a 2 night stay in late August. The hotel although busy maintained a quiet environment. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous and difficult to tear oneself away from. Rooms are of a good standard but on our next visit I would ask for one with a lake view. Breakfast is good but the 4 course evening meal was outstanding (and good value for the quality) All the staff we encountered went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. All in all a genuine 5 star experience.

Only stayed one night with my wife but thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean room, nice polite staff, nice food and the views are stunning. Will be back definitely 👍

This was our second stay at the Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere having previously stayed in February. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The onsite parking is great. Our room was a decent size and was very clean with good standard facilities (TV, air-conditioning, complimentary water, hairdryer etc) The spa facilities are acceptable and the only downside to the hotel is it's lack of swimming pool. The room and amenities are great. The grounds are beautiful and the staff generally really nice. Only the lady in reception when we checked in acted like she was bored and we were disturbing her. The staff in the restaurant however absolutely amazing and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place

Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Bus 591, 555 stops just outside the hotel and can take you anywhere whether it’s Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick all very easy to commute. Some great restaurants around. Staff extremely friendly at the reception. Breakfast top notch - 10/10 for Manuel who takes orders at the brekkie area , always smiling. Would highly recommend.

We've just spent a lovely week at the Queen's Head at Troutbeck, Windermere. Lovely staff. Great food. Just near enough Windermere without being in the hustle and bustle and easy walks right from the door! We hope to return again soon.
