The hotel is a definite 11/10 it is stunning. The fact that it is only 2 minutes from the shops and 10 minutes walk to the lake makes it even better and the views are incredible. Breakfast was perfect as well and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back.

Great hotel in a brilliant location with excellent food

Stayed for 3 nights (1st week Feb) and had a great, relaxing break. The type of hotel is in the name, "The Lodge...", and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and has a large television with all the Freesat Channels. I mainly used it as a base for when I went walking, but the snowfall on the first morning put a slight dent into my plans. The staff are excellent and very friendly, and I will definitely return sometime soon.

The apartment was fantastic, plenty of space for relaxing in the lounge, whipping up a quick snack in the kitchen (which was very well equipped with toaster over, stovetop range, cutlery, plates, and a small refrigerator). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel is set back far from the small highway, so no noises disturbed our sleep. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower set up, complete with jets that we only discovered on the last day. Also a towel warmer, which was a very pleasant...

All in all it was a very nice stay food was excellent room was very good only thing that took the edge of the whole experience was we were told breakfast finished at ten we got down at 9-32 and a snoty waitress said breakfast finished at 9-30 I pointed out it’s only two minutes past surely you can squeeze us in no chance spoilt the whole experience

We were here less than three weeks after our last visit. Our trips get closer together. Obviously, we love it! Everything is perfect- especially the staff. Thank you.

Really great family run place. Room was excellent, breakfast fantastic and can't thank the owner enough for local knowledge and tips for walking and food. Good value considering time of year and location. Look forward to visiting again

My wife and I booked 2 nights in this Bed & Breakfast establishment because we thought it looked fantastic and the reviews were excellent and we had promised ourselves a special break away from home that was something to remember. We were greeted by Ian and Hazel who showed us to our room and they freely offered us everything that we had hoped for. This hotel is a gem of a find with the most amazing staff, restaurant and beautifully decorated rooms. It should be a least 4 star and I cannot rave enough about it , thank u to all the amazing staff at MELBREAK

Only stayed one night with my wife but thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean room, nice polite staff, nice food and the views are stunning. Will be back definitely 👍
