Owner enjoys collecting original art with many paintings to enjoy. Accommodation consists of large open plan kitchen / diner with lots of natural light and stunning views, large living room with log effect gas fire, 2 double and one single bedroom, master bedroom has a small ensuite with shower and the main bathroom has a lovely, highest quality steel bath and a large 'walk in' shower. A regular comment from many guests is that Pinecroft feels like a home. Pinecroft is not overlooked and outside you will find a long driveway providing for ample parking. In Nov 2025 a NEW Electric Vehicle charger has been installed. There are mature gardens all around with large patio areas on different levels. There is a purpose built BBQ area and also a bike shelter with secure anchor points. There are a few water features including a lovely fish pond (parents see below). Views from the patio and the dining room are wonderful as you look west over Keswick to towards Grisedale Pike where the sun sets. In November 2023 we created a large level patio area that extends from the driveway up to and around the property, this is a major improvement with beautiful new slip resistant paving making the access step free (see photo's) and much easier for those with mobility concerns. plus plenty and a variety of seating areas to enjoy. Reviews..... Please note that over the last 18 months PC has been in the hands of a local letting agency therefore Vrbo reviews are prior to this time however guests can be assured that recent reviews have all been highly complimentary. Transport... Conveniently and just about 100 meters away is a bus stop where you can catch a bus to take you into town or alternatively walking along the old railway line (now a footpath) is about a 20 minute walk. Abit further down and around the corner there is another bus stop for those wanting a day trip to the South Lakes, Ambleside etc. CHILD SAFETY - For the reassurance of parents, the large pond is less than 3 feet at its deepest, it is raised above ground level and has shrubs etc all around making it difficult for anyone to enter the water which is also very clear. Some large fish call it home. Other water feature / pond is also raised and less deep. Nobody or animal should enter the water at any time. The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We stayed here for 6 nights whilst on a hiking trip. The directions to the cottage were spot on and the cottage itself was clean with good facilities especially for walkers/cyclists as there was an outside area for bikes and muddy shoes, clothing. The cottage had a washer/dryer, wifi, sky, good basic equipment in the kitchen and the bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. The bathroom had a lovely shower and bath tub too. Keswick is just a 20 minute walk/5minute drive and the views surrounding the cottage were stunning. This was a great area central to everywhere we visited and there were good facilities in the town including supermarket, nice pubs/cafes and shops. We would definitely stay again. ##### Dave J. The house is a short walk from the centre of the town and also near an entry point into the Keswick to Threlkeld cycle path which is a great walk along the river and away from from the traffic. The property was just what we needed. Well equipped, spacious and with a good outside space which was used as we had some good weather. The front of the house is near a main road, but sitting in the lounge at the back you couldn’t hear any road noise. The drive way at the back of the house has plenty of space (could probably fit 4 standard sized cars) so parking for the 2 cars we had was ample. Lovely property, would certainly look to rebook here if/when we head back to The Lakes. Communication with the owner when needed was first rate. ##### Paul W. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. There is seating outside on the patio which is also accessible and a shallow slope from the drive to the property. The surrounding area is stunning and we didn’t need to travel too far to find places to visit. Keswick Pencil Museum, Theatre by the Lake, Derwent Water and the railway walk were very close and well worth a visit. A quiet location within a 15-20 minute walk of the town centre, Pinecroft was clean, spacious and well equipped, and it has great views across the fells north and west of Keswick. ##### Ian F.
