Room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was basic but sufficient and from the cooked menu they would provide breakfast how you wanted it, with swaps and omissions if need be. They catered well for my husband who is gluten intolerant. Lots of restaurants and pubs within a short stroll, we tried a different one for dinner each night. Parking can be a little bit tight but we did have quite a large car, saying that we always found a space to squeeze it into! The service was excellent as was and breakfast. My only issue would be the bathroom needed a few cosmetic improvements like the grouting was black in some areas and there was a water stain mark in the carpet. We stayed in the annex, which was nice, but would not want to stay in there in winter as it would be too cold. Cleanliness was top notch, noted especially by how fresh it smelled which was lovely. The bed was comfortable but I must say the pillows were too hard for us. Breakfast was a little bit of a let down as it was quite small but there was a lot of choice in the buffet extras. We did have the room next to the front door as well which was quite loud at times. Also if I was being really picky it would have been nice to have curtains as well as shutters because we like a dark room on a night and with being next to the car park it was never properly dark. The folks are accommodating and friendly; they really went the distance in making our stay comfortable and convenient.
