Beautiful hotel...very beautifully decorated but still has modern amenities. Would have liked to have more time by the pool..it was amazing, Staff was extremely helpful. Proximity was also good...walking distance to Old Town and the wats. Only gripe is that there were a lot of mosquitoes were an issue in the room.
This a nice hotel located in the Old City. The staff is friendly and efficient. The room is of traditional Thai style with all the modern facilities. The bed is surprisingly comfy. Breakfast is very good too. What surprised me most was that the hotel provided me with a free ride to the airport. What a nice gesture! Thank you, Sirilanna.
We spent a month travelling through Asia. This was one of the best mid-range budget hotels we stayed at. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were great. There was a lovely garden and a pool. The breakfast was great as well. The hotel was in walking distance of good restaurants and a million massage places!
A very relaxing, serene hotel. Everything about this place is stylish and beautiful. Citronella scent like incense delicately fills the outside air in public spaces warding off insects and quiet restful background music creates a calm pleasant atmosphere. Although the hotel is only a few years old, it is architect designed to a very high standard in a traditional Thai style with careful attention to every detail. The gardens are beautifully planned and well maintained with an interesting collection of labelled art objects placed around the site. The welcoming and friendly staff help to create the Zen like calm of this hotel.

A friend and I stayed for 9 days at The Gallery 99 and were very happy there. The location in the Old City was brilliant, as you are within walking distance of all activities within the wall. If it is too hot or far to walk, tuk tuks or red trucks are everywhere, and the hotel staff are more than happy to negotiate one for you. The Sunday Walking Market is seconds away and not to be missed. There are plenty of good eateries.
Our room, although basic, was clean and adequate. We had 2 single beds and the room itself on the second floor, was quite large and light, although many of the others appeared to be much smaller and darker. This is something I would check out before booking. The beds were hard, but that is definitely my preference. The bathroom was also clean and adequate. On first appearance it did seem as though there was mold on the tiles, but on closer inspection the dots were actually permanent marks.
Breakfast has been critised by many, but we found it to be very good. There was a nice choice of fruits, fresh yoghurt, juices (although sweetened) and selection of different Thai stir fries each day. There are also egg and soup stations which are very good. The new chef is doing a great job and has plans for improvement over the next 2 months.
The pool, although very cold, was clean and lovely to have a quick splash in when hot and tired.
Staff were excellent, smiling, polite and eager to assist. They were always up for a chat, and keen to hear of our activitie
This is a lovely Hotel with extremely helpful staff and a relaxing environment. Very comfortable with excellent facilities. The Canal restaurant is not overly expensive and provides modern tastey Thai food.
