Breakfast buffet seriously lacking in choice and quality. Certainly not what I expected from past experiences with the Novotel brand. Prior to booking we checked most recent reviews and did not fathom this. Just be aware that it's right under the flight path (loud) and also for the money there are infinite better options for tourists who may appreciate a better location and general traditional hotel ambience. During our trip we stayed in far nicer hotels for a lot less money. We expected a little more from an Accor hotel such as the Novotel and wanted our last 2 nights in Chiang Mai to be somewhere nice. But this is not a resort hotel. So our miss judgement. Staff were very accomodating Finally, the walls are paper this and you can here every little noise from neighbours, even several rooms away. Lol. This should mot be Novotel standard. Even $50p/n stays in old Chiang Mai vintage guesthouses had better wall insulation.
