Marialica Suites was more than I expected. The hotel is very clean, room layout is perfect it had a nice patio outside your door, the bed was comfortable and the staff are very welcoming. Also the area is very convenient, I would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Oaxaca!

Before booking, I had read numerous reviews of Marialicia Suites that opined what an amazing place this is... they did not do it justice! My wife and I spent 5 incredible nights in Oaxaca, and as much as we loved the sights, and the food, and the culture - it was the accommodations that really made our trip! Dulce (the manager) and her staff (especially Oscar and Noe) went out of their way again and again to make sure that we were comfortable. It was obvious from the minute we arrived that these individuals were clearly invested in making sure that we enjoyed our experience - both in Oaxaca and at Marialicia Suites. My wife and I celebrated our 20'th anniversary while we were in Oaxaca and Dulce even arranged to have flowers delivered to our room to help us celebrate the moment! I have stayed in hotels all over the world, but have never felt as welcome and valued as I did at Marialicia. We had a great time in Oaxaca and will definitely be back - when that happens I will not even look into any other options for lodging. The only bad thing I could say about Marialicia Suites is that it has probably ruined me for every other hotel I will ever stay at! Many thanks Dulce and all of her staff for making our trip unforgettable.

This stay felt very safe and the manager and staff were professional and helpful when we had questions. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center which was very convenient. Dulce helped us with airport transports and food recommendations and she was a pleasure to talk to. We would definitely stay here again. It was clean and well maintained and was beautiful as well as quiet.

This was a very comfortable place, with very friendly and helpful staff. It's a 10 minute walk to the main square, so it's in a quiet neighborhood. I would be happy to stay here again.

Amazing place
I loved staying here and would love to stay again. The surroundings are beautifully designed and everyone is totally helpful and friendly. The only thing I would suggest is a topper to soften the bed.

The Very Best
Probably the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed at. The design was outstanding, the rooms spacious and well equipped. Dulce, the manager was super helpful and friendly. Neighborhood far enough from the Zocalo to be quiet. Each apartment has its own enclosed patio.

Room was good, service beeds improvements.
We have no complaints about the property itself. Rooms were good. Little kitchen was cute. The beds were stiff hard not comfortable( I don't like soft beds, but this one hurted my side when i slept on one) The real problem i had when at check in I asked if we can use the court yard table and chairs under our windows, by our front door( our room was on the second floor) The older lady, who was at the reception, said that we could if there was no one on the first floor, but unfortunately there are people there for the same 3 days as us, so we can't because it's not nice to seat by their windows..Ok.. we moved in and I checked my booking. Sure enough the court yard was on our description and for us to use. It was our 20st anniversary. We like drink coffee outside. We like to play chess with my husband and there was no other table available to play on. For some reason, even though we paid to use it, we weren't as important as a people on the 1st floor. When I asked her next morning why did she said we can't use it, she said :" Oh, you could, but it's not nice"... well, It wasn't nice to take away something that was considered as important for us, when I was booking that hotel. One day we came back at 8 pm and our door was wide opened. When I asked why? Same lady says that it's ok. Also, when we were checking out I was waiting by reception for my husband to get the car.Then we loaded the car, said good bye, got into and started car same lady asked to get out and pay for parking

Mrs. Irina:I am really sorry about the suite assigned for your stay, the description says that there are some ground floor, and others first floor with stairs.When the guest request an specific suite, the most important is just to ask for the service, and if it is available we can do it, we only have 2 suites on the entire hotel on first floor.The sofa is just for sitting, and if a kid under 11 years needs to share the room with parents, we put as confortable as possible, but it is not for an adult because it is too much heavy.My name is Dulce the older lady was at the front desk, and I cant understand the reason that everything seemed unpleasant for you.I asked the housekeeping if they locked the door after the cleaning and they did it, I can't understand that you said your door was wide opened, I asked if your personal belongs were ok, and you just answer you will check, I am sorry for this.About the charge for the parking, during your check-out the guest used to come at the desk and ask if they owed something, but you just walkt to the exit and leave the hotel, that's the reason I have to ask for the payment being you at your car seated.Have a good day,

Wonderful proprietor who was generous with her time in helping us plan an itinerary while we there, and in suggesting restaurants in the areas we were travelling to. Each suite has independent walls so there is no noise at all. Overall a fabulous stay.

I did a lot of research prior to this trip and this hotel lived up to all of my expectations. It is quiet and comfortable and a 10-15 minute walk from nearly all the top places. However, the best thing about this place is its amazing staff. Dulce is a gem - trust her advice and suggestions. She oversees a wonderful, kind, and ever-so-helpful staff who work hard to make you feel at home. I can't wait to return.

Gorgeous hotel with easy city center access
Truly the perfect place to stay in Oaxaca for our family of 4. We had the family suite with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and it made our stay there dramatically better than any hotel room. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with very easy 10 min walking access to everything you could want in the city center. An easy 25 min ride from the airport also made life easy. The rooms were kept beautifully and the fridge was stocked with everything we needed. Bathrooms and shower were perfect, great water pressure and heat and they made it very easy for our kids with a crib for our infant and helped us get high quality reliable baby sitters when we wanted to go out. Can't recommend this place more!

The property is really well located, not too close to the centre but within easy walking distance. It is very clean, and the people at the front desk are extremely welcoming. Rooms with their small kitchenettes are excellent, you get a real sense of space. Highly recommended!

The staff is truly excellent and helpful. The property is located in a great location, about a 12 minute walk from the Zócalo but with many restaurants and other businesses nearby that are a little less touristy than the center.

Welcomed with a smile every day - great stay.
Just completed a lovely four night stay and everything was extremely nice. Entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was seamless. The hotel is newly redecorated and everything was really well done and modern. Comfortable beds, nice towels, plenty of bath amenities and most importantly very clean. The hotel is about an 8 block, 12 minute walk to main part of Centro which wasn't perfect but not a problem. Definitely recommend this place for a couple or family looking for a little more room in a relaxing environment with super nice staff.

Great boutique stay close in but quiet.
After a rough landing in two different Airbnbs we had to pivot and find a comfortable looking hotel close but not in centro. Marialicia fit the bill perfectly. The room was spotless. Each bedroom had A/C, the shower had enough hot water for us both and with decent pressure. The kitchen was stocked well enough to prepare breakfast, etc. The patio made for a nice place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The neighborhood is just a fifteen minute walk from the zocalo so it’s pretty quiet but close enough. Would stay again without hesitation.

Our stay at Marialicia Suites was fantastic! On our check-in we were warmly greeted by Noe who showed us to our suite and welcomed us to Marialicia. He also arranged to make us coffee the next morning very early before we were picked up for our tour of Monte Alban. He was a wonderful and friendly support throughout our stay always with a smile and genuine greeting, information and radiating joy. We met Dulce on day 2. She had made great arrangements for our airport pickup and was interested in our experience. We visited often and she shared her number. Based on our conversations, she suggested a cooking experience for me and even though everything we found was booked, she continued until she found an amazing opportunity for me with a wonderful cook in her home where I learned to make Oaxacan mole in Spanish! While I cooked, she found my other half a tour with a private driver who spoke perfect English of the local Mezcal distilleries. He had a fabulous time and returned with treasures as well as memories. Dulce also found us a driver to take us to Hierve el Agua which was an unforgettable experience! She visited with us regularly, shared her love of Oaxaca and got to know us so that she was able to arrange the perfect, personal experiences! We can't wait to return!
