"Gorgeous hotel built with lots of attention to detail, decorated with tasteful furniture and unusual artwork. Rooms are very spacious and with comfortable mattresses (we stayed in 2 different rooms during our 7 night stay, both had a nice large balcony overlooking the river). Hotel is located on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of Zona Romantica and the Malecon. We did hear barking dogs during some nights, but otherwise it was very peaceful. "The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Guadalajara, and it’s a great deal for the price. I had a wonderful time until I returned from a night out. It was dark, and all the doors were locked. I had to call the hotel, and the night guard/receptionist was not very helpful. I left my keys at the desk when I went out, and he asked me a bunch of questions, but not the right ones. "Love Casa Lidia and would be happy to stay there again on my next visit to Oaxaca. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Breakfast is delicious and the whole staff is friendly and welcoming. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and comfortable. The location is great. Jalatlaco is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and a short 10min walk to Centro. Highly recommend. "
