trip. We stayed in a room in the main house, which was beautiful, with fabulous views of the countryside. As soon as we arrived we were greeted and made to feel welcome. The fire was roaring in the reception area and the whole ambience was cosy and inviting. We enjoyed walks through the woodland and gardens. The food in the restaurant is fabulous, so I would definitely recommend booking that if you are stopping at the hotel. "

Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read. "Beautiful hotel slightly disappointed to have not been in the main building but an extension at the back looking at the pictures you assume your room is in this lovely graded historical building and I certainly would not have paid this price for a deluxe room as it was small if I had known. However, it’s a lovely hotel when you are in the main building it is steeped in history the room was spotless and comfortable the room service exceptional staff friendly "
