"This property was beautiful and very clean. Staff are super friendly and accomodating. It is a bit out the way from main areas of Hakuba. However, the hotel does have a shuttle bus, only on a limited schedule though. "
"This hotel is amazing on all counts, legendary breakfast beyond wildest dreams and expectations, a cornucopia of delights. I will return and recommend to anyone and especially my friends and family"

Hakuba PAIPU NO KEMURI
10/10 Excellent
"Less expensive and budget friendly. Amenities available like Onsen and table tennis. Laudry is also available. Distance is the disadvantage. It's a little far from the city center although still walking distance. "
"I had a traditional Japanese room. It was super comfortable - and the view from my window of Happo One was beautiful! It was convenient walk to restaurants and bars. The Happo One gondola was a bit of a hike - but definitely within easy walking distance is the Hakuba Happo bus station. Easy to get to other mountains via the shuttle."

"The property and staff were AMAZING! The location was perfect, in walking distance to Happo One. I loved the traditional style of the accommodations. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking to ski or snowboard during the day and a touch of traditional Japanese when it is time to rest and relax."
"The resort was first class. We loved the Onsen which they had both private and public. They had no restrictions on Tattoos. The breakfast was great and we saved a lot of money on dinners since they had free wine, soups, miso, udon, etc every afternoon. "
The most popular time to visit Happo is December, coinciding with the peak winter season that lasts from December to February. During this period, the region transforms into a winter wonderland, with temperatures typically ranging from -5°C to -15°C. This chilly climate is great for those who seek thrilling outdoor adventures such as skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing, all set against stunning, snow-covered landscapes.
For avid winter sports enthusiasts, December offers a vibrant atmosphere, with many events and activities taking place at the ski resorts. The slopes are well-prepared and attract crowds eager to experience the powdery snow. Additionally, local festivals celebrate the season, providing an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the region's culture while enjoying the festive spirit.
If you're looking for a quieter time to visit, May is an attractive option. As the snow melts and spring begins to bloom, the natural beauty of Happo becomes even more accessible. This month tends to offer lower prices, giving you the chance to enjoy the area's scenic hiking trails and blossoming flora without the bustling winter crowds.
