The staff and managers were outstanding, they couldn't help enough to make our time perfect. The main disappointing aspect was the rooms, they were really run down and out of date, they were tired, not very clean and for the money not good value. However, the location is great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We have a wonderful 6 night stay at this hotel as part of a larger trip. It is a modern style, simple hotel that offers beds in rooms with a walk along the corridor to shared toilets. All other bathroom facilities are located in the basement in a typical Japanese onsen style. The hotel's buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied. It is a 5 minute walk to the base of the lifts/ ski hire. At night, there are very few dining options in this area and the bus service into the main Happo One village is limited after dark. Literally minutes away. Great location to slopes. Onsen was OK too. I was in a group of 20. So we had the western style twin bed rooms which are kinda small. We also had the 6 beds family suite which is nice and surprisingly spacious. Breakfast was OK. Just that the hotel staff hardly speaks any English which can be a pain as times especially if you wanna book transportation.
