Onsen free to use after each day on the slope. We also booked a massage with Lily for last night and she was fantastic together with an aromatherapy treatment. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat. They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options. There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower. We loved our stay at the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel! We only had 2 nights in the area but wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Happo One Gondola (and other ski resorts if necessary) and to the train station - very helpful! It is in an excellent location - close to the Happo One Gondola and plenty of places to eat. We ate in the hotel itself and the food and service were excellent. The onsen was incredibly clean and relaxing. A bit of a walk (15-20 minute) to the village. The town offers a shuttle bus which take you to the ski locations and stops at a variety of drop off locations. It would be nice if the hotel would offer their shuttle, then you would not have to wait for the town shuttle or pay the expensive taxi rates (if you could get a taxi). And he did it all with a smile on his face and helped make our holiday a beauty! The staff made us pre-order food when we booked the table and we couldn’t adapt meals to cater for gluten free.
