"Unfortunately I have experienced this hotel at it's best. The staff were nice and my room was upgraded to a suite which was a lovely touch considering I stayed with my two children. The hotel is tired, there was lightbulbs out in the room, wallpaper peeled and framework missing from the doors. The shower was yellowing and when used sprayed from cracks behind the shower head. He was the first person we saw as we approached the door and his welcome was so friendly. He made us feel so at home before we even entered the building. "Stayed in a superior twin room on the 5th floor, which was clean and comfortable, with a walk-in shower (important because I have mobility issues). It was on the small side but not cramped. The decor seemed to be fairly new and in good shape, of a dark gray neutral sort. Staff on check-in were friendly, quick and helpful. It's a massive hotel that takes huge tour groups, so there were several hordes clumped together in the lobby and in the street area outside; there is also no visible place to sit and relax in the lobby, which is designed to get a lot of people through check-in quickly. I was so glad to find there was express checkout! There are several restaurants in the hotel which I didn't try, and lots of restaurants in the immediate area. Very close to everything in Bloomsbury. There was street noise at night but nothing extreme. "
