"The property was very clean and well furnished, with comfortable beds. The bathroom is well appointed, and comes with lovely, fluffy soft white towels. We received a welcome kit with tea, coffee, and biscuits, and found scones, jam, and clotted cream in the refrigerator. The Stanley House met our needs and was as described (the only discrepancy we found was that there was no clothes dryer--I even read the manual for the washer online to see if it was a combo washer/dryer). But that is a minor issue. We were right across the street from The Golden Lion Inn, where we were lucky enough to hear sea shanties on our first night. Also we were only 2 houses down from Nathan Outlaw's Fish Kitchen (fabulous) and The Mote (wonderful) and the Platt, the harbor. Right next door there are wonderful traditional Cornish pasties and yummy sandwiches at Nicky B's. We also had a lovely breakfast at the top of Fore Street at the Cornish Cove. Walking up and down the village each day did great things for our cardiovascular health! I would caution Americans that the roads in Port Isaac are very narrow, and I would recommend just packing a small jump bag to carry down to (and back up from) the house rather than thinking that you can park in front and unload a lot of luggage. I'd also warn people to be cautious using GPS to approach Port Isaac. Map to the New Road, or you'll find yourself on the very precarious (for the driver) but beautiful (for the passengers) road through Port Gaverne"

"Absolute stunning property with all the quirks you would expect of an original Port Isaac fishing village cottage. Bed comfortable, bedding high quality. Highly recommended. Had problems with WiFi but pretty sure that's a location issue. "

"The house was very small but beautifully appointed. Parking at the top of a hill may cause problems for some but a slightly longer walk was much flatter and we took the car halfway down the hill to unload. All the rooms were decorated with love and both the living room and bedroom were very comfortable. The welcome pack was lovely too. The location was great, with pasties, beer and other treats on the doorstep. Highly recommend, so long as you’re okay with stairs."

"Great location for walking to either Port Isaac (10mins) or Port Gaverne (5mins) Lundy is a first floor appartment with partial sea views. 2 bedrooms, 1x bathroom and a kitchen/dining/living room. Great for x3 of us and a dog. We stayed Fri-Sun April 2024 for The Shanty Festival. Fantastic festival in fantastic place! Thanks Helen for great communition, and info about the area. .Cant recomend enough! "

"Simon is so welcoming and helpful in every way! If anything comes up, he answers you immediately and takes care of it. The flat is located in the perfect spot, away from the noise and traffic while still very close to the center of town. So perfect in every way! We will always stay in Simon’s flat!"

"We spent 8 days here for our honeymoon. The house was clean, spacious with lovely thoughtful touches everywhere. Its November so much quieter, peaceful and exactly what we needed. Walks to the local beaches, pubs, and surrounding areas are on the doorstep along with fantastic seafood options both fresh from the harbour and in the form of Michellin star restaurants. Comms with Sarah and Emma were excellent throughout and the house is well equipped with everything we needed and for a much bigger party of people. The views from the garden at the top are a delight and well worth the climb up the steps to the top. We cant wait to come and stay here again. Fantastic!!! Thank you."
