Top Chester Hotel Reviews

Moxy Chester
6/10 Okay
"Pros - Can’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel, our room was spotless and finished to good spec. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cocktail upon arrival is a great touch and we enjoyed the fun vibe of the hotel. Cons - The breakfast area downstairs was far too small to cope with number of guests on Sunday morning we were there, so lots of people were pushing through to get food and having to stand up against bar or use the bar stool seats. We also had people outside until early hours having lengthy loud conversations and smoking outside the front entrance underneath our room, which forced us to close window which made it incredibly stuffy."

"Beautiful hotel in the city centre. We had the best room with an amazing and unusual view of the Eastgate clock. Very warm welcome on arrival. Room spacious. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Staff at breakfast friendly and very attentive. Couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff."

"Great place to stay for the night! Just watch your head and the wobbly stairs! Would recommend and return!!"

Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now)."

Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel, Chester
8/10 Good
"We have stayed here a few times before, so not the first visit. Prior to attended i called 8 times on the day before and day of travel and never had reception answer a call as i had a question to ask, some calls were well over 15 minutes . On getting in our room there is a QR code to add contact for sending SMS messages to reception as we wanted a fan but we also were running tight on time and had a table at a restaurant booked else where i thought when i got back the request would have been dealt with. On arriving back around 10:30 pm to our room we saw no fan so we had to go back down stairs to obtain one, not ideal. Then noticed no sockets at the bedside tables to had to go down again and request an extension lead. ON our second night at 9.30 the bar in the hotel was all locked up so could not get a drink."
