Very nice hotel away from the bustle of the city centre. Lanna style was well done and very much appreciated. River setting is beautiful. Pool is very nice and the entire hotel is well-maintained, but only as expected for a highly rated resort. Spa was excellent and masseuse Elle provided the best massage ever delivered to this guest. Included breakfast had adequate options from both east and west.
The welcome we received in the Kasara lounge at the Anantara Chiang Mai was second to none, and I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and I score this welcome 10 out of 10. The first suite we had was adjacent the road junction and the construction site (their new serviced apartment building). This would be fine but as the hotel is open to the elements it meant the room was very noisy from very early in the morning. We moved to a suite nearer the river and peace and calm were restored. It is a great hotel with great staff (especially the gent who looks after the pool area - a genuine big smile and great service at all times) and good facilities (gym is first class too). The food is worth the expense as it is fantastic. Breakfast was sometimes a little overwhelmed by people and staff were stretched. The only other niggle was having to log in to the wifi pretty much every time you moved although it worked well once you'd put your passwords in, again. Overall I have to agree with everyone's reviews and would score the Anantara Chiang Mai a 9 out of 10.

Beautiful and clean room, quiet enough for us to have a good night's sleep. Fantastic breakfast although quite expensive at Baht 650 per person. Very nice pool. The staff are very helpful - we booked a taxi to the airport but it didn't show up. We waited and it was just over an hour before flight time. The staff drove us to the airport in the hotel car and only charged us Baht 200 (the agreed fee for the taxi). We made it as we had checked in online. Thanks again.
Arriving deep into the evening, we went down to the restaurant and they were fully open and happy to see us. However, as the main dining room was full with a tour group they opened a separate dining room for us and the service, cocktails, and food was really good. The staff at this hotel are really wonderful, and so helpful and yet not uncomfortably intrusive. The location is improbably serene, with the grass and garden area next to the river extremely quiet and yet the hotel is so well located and the table and chairs by the river proved ideal for an informal business meeting.
The Yaang Come Village hotel was a really pleasant surprise. It is situated not far outside the old city, ideally placed for walking to it during the day and the night markets are very close. It was just lovely to get back from a day of sightseeing and relax on the lounges by the very clean and well kept pool. I travelled with my 12 year old son and swimming was a real high point of his day. The breakfasts were varied and plentiful, with selections of Thai and the usual buffet food. The staff were attentive and helpful.

The hotel is situate next to the famous Night Bazaar and about 10 minutes walk to the market. The staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Try to get the top floor it got the breathe taking view of the Doi Suthap. The breakfast buffet have all varieties of foods including vegetarian. The room is very comfortable, but the bed is a bit hard. It's took me almost a week to get use to the bed. At night you can walk down to Loy Kroh road, which have many little bars along the whole street just to sit, relax, and people waching.
