"The room itself was recently renovated and very nice. The hotel overall needs a lot of attention. The building looks very run down. The lobby has had some renovations but lacks sophistication, The staff were all VERY friendly and helpful. Having a restaurant/bar in the hotel was a nice conveience. The hotel is off to the side of much of the city center but easily accessed and walkable to restaurants, bars, stores and bus station, There is also a bus stop just across the street that has a popular line running on it. I enjoyed the city bus ride to Alton Towers, I could walk to local canals and parks."

"We really liked our stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant, and our dog was made to feel welcome too. The hotel is a beautiful building, and our room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. You could hear noise from neighbours, but not too late. Despite there being plenty of space in the car park, both spaces for the EV chargers were taken by ICE cars. I was able to speak with one driver who did move their car so we were able to charge, but the hotel could do with marking the bays clearly with road markings and signs to help avoid this."
