"Everything in the room was lovely and the breakfast was very good. Staff encountered were very friendly. However, my husband is very allergic to cats and there were two resident cats walking around and resting on furniture. His allergies were apparent within a few hours of being at the property - wished we had been made aware of the resident cats as we could have packed some antihistamines."

"The hotel was undergoing some work when we visited, new carpets and paint etc. which was nice to see, The hotel is big and has a good bit of character so it’s good that it’s being looked after so well. Our room was spotless and the bar / breakfast service offered everything we needed. Staff were great too, recommended."

"Men' changing room swimming pool when visited in need of a clean and tidy up. Wet towels on the floor discarded by guests too lazy to put them in the bin provided. No spitting sign in the shower off putting"
